@@ProjectMe @@JamieLogical Thank you guys so much! I really do appreciate the positive feedback. I just want to get the most out of this and know I'm not hurting myself in way with what I'm doing.
I think I am going to go back to liquids full time and just know that I can handle the purees, but that I'm not ready to totally incorporate yet.
Definitely need to find a way of sleeping though. The body aches are making it very difficult.

@@yoyolifechange11 I read this thread and it made me unbelievably sad for what you are going through. It truly bothers me that your husband, for some reason, feels it's okay to repeat the same mantra to you each morning. It also bothers me greatly that you are in a situation where you do not have any power. What I mean by that is, you put yourself in a precarious position when you have no way of supporting yourself. Your husband can walk out the door tomorrow. What would you do to support yourself and your children? I volunteered at a battered woman's shelter throughout college. I read your post & unfortunately it takes me back there.
My mother was a stay at home mom. She saved money in her own account for years...a little here, a little there, begins to add up. My parents have been married for 55 years. But, she has always had her own money and told all of us girls to never rely on a man to "take care" of us. life's too short, and you can be poor & miserable by yourself. I was also a stay at home mom for my little ones untl they got to kindergarten. You'd better believe that I had my own money that whole time.

True, threads go "left " at times. But, as someone else mentioned, I prefer honesty and straightforwardness. I personally get annoyed with some of the "hand holding" or "afraid to really say..." posts because I sometimes feel that those posts can be irresponsible, depending on the topic. The good thing about boards are that you typically get a mixture of both and everything in between. You can choose which posts to ignore & which to internalize.
Overall. I feel it is important to learn from others even when I may be taken aback by the delivery and even when I disagree.

Wow, some of the responses, have completely shocked me. I don't like taking meds and am the kingd of person who will suffer all day with a headache and still not take anything. The Vitamin thing was a concern for me PreOp, seriously, and was one of the reasons I did not choose bypass.
To the OP @@ishy1985 : I get what you mean about how it seems like a lot. Daily I chew 2 Flinstones w/iron Multivitamins, and chew up 4 calcium citrate tabs (2 when I think about it, and the other 2 when I think about it again). The only reason I take these is because my surgeon says I have to. LOL! I don't take anything extra, but will if my bloodwork shows a need.

Don't let one or two ruin your experience. The vast majority of people on here are helpful and compassionate.
The ones jumping all over you are most likely reacting to their own issues anyway.

Personally, and this is just my opinion regarding the process...While I feel it was a lot to go through, I also feel that the process is necessary. The process caused me to lose 60 pounds prior to having surgery. I felt mentally stronger because of the process. I also felt physically stronger which I feel is important prior to putting your body through a major surgery. Even my husband benefitted from the process by losing 50 pounds.

I have to admit I also am scared to death of even gaining 2/10ths of a pound. It feels like I don't have control over my situation. I am 5'9 weigh 144 pounds. Probably 8 pounds of that is skin. Lol. I log ever single bite i eat. If I cannot determine how many calories is in something I don't eat it. It is definelty a mind game. I will get it and relax. But the maintenance thing is a challenge. I drink at least 100 ounces of Water a day. If I let myself get too hungry my mind will wander Nad I think oh this or that sounds good and I start to crave foods that I should not eat. I do not eat them I do grab something with Protein usually a few nuts. I like the salt and since my BP is running low my doctors said go ahead and eat more salt. She said to me She couldn't believe she was telling a patient to eat more salt. Anyway I know I got off track here but YES I FEAR OF GAINING WEIGHT. my husband has spent way too much money buying me cute new clothes to gain any weight back.

I am little over 3 months now, so far doing well. SInce a week or two, I have started to feel hungry and I am scared of this feeling. I am afraid I may gain again, though I still eat more or less the same as I did a month ago.
I can now understand what some of fellow sleevers have described to me, the fear of gaining weight, even when they are in perfect shape.

@@WL WARRIOR Thx for the response. I currently take a chewable calcium citrate twice a day (from Vitamin shoppe) & 2 Flinstones Multivitamins. My next Dr's appt isn't until the end of April. But I'm hoping my bloodwork makes it unnecessary to continue with all the Calcium. It's tedious trying to time all these Vitamins throughout the day!

Thanks everyone. He did attend the seminar with me but was very quiet and passive. I asked A MILLION questions.
As we were talking today he said,"I know you'll do whatever you feel is best. "
I responded,"Why would you ever think that? I always do what everyone else wants me to do. "
That was a very telling revelation. I don't do a lot of things I would prefer to do because I let other people influence my choices. Maybe it's time to think about that more closely. Maybe it's time to do this for me.
