Cannot get back on track and afraid to go back to doctor Bertha
Barb replied to Connorsmom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Go back to Dr. Bertha. If you are anyhting like me that is what it will take to get back on track. You are doing great, and can get back on the loosing side, just don't put it off. Best wishes. -
So far I have been really good, but I am nearly one month out and I am starting to feel hungry. Unfortunantly I am sure it won't be long before I will be posting my confession here with you.

I am in. I just ordered a scale which won't be here for about a week, but I will try and go weigh somehwere today or tomorrow. My goal for the challenge is to lose 20lbs. over the 10 weeks.

Happy Birthday, I am glad it has been a great one, you deserve nothing but the best.

Thank you Alex for the best forum.

I was banded 2 days after you and I haven't had a PB either. But I don't want to have one either. :-)

Ok, I am getting ready for the Fall Weight Loss Challenge. I just purchased a Health-O-Meter Professional Scale.

It has been a long day here today. We just found out early this afternoon that we are getting 1500 of the New Orleans evacuees. food, Water and supplies are arriving in the devasted areas and the buses are now getting them out. One of the buses overtuned, don't know what happened, but there is at least one dead. Just keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. Most (if not all) of the state and federal agencies here in Texas are staying open throughout this holiday weekend. We are ready when they arrive, we have beds set up, food, water, clothes, hygeine supplies, baby formula, diapers, toys, child care and medicine and medical care ready and waiting. I know it seems like to little to late but I can say that people here have been working long hard hours. 1500 isn't many considering how many need assistance but as they arrive this weekend we will be taking good care of them. We are working around the clock, it is 3:50AM here and nothing has slowed down.

Congratulations all on your successes during the summer weight loss challenge. I want to join in on the fall challenge!

If you are able please go and donate blood. There is a critical need for blood right now. This is one way we can help and truly make a difference.

I am sending prayers to all of you in the path of Hurricane Katrina. I was scheduled to speak in New Orleans this week and just cancelled all my reservations this morning. I hope you all evacuate and get out of harms way. Thoughts and Prayers are with You'll. Barbara

Thanks Jessie! I will give his office a call tomorrow. I will actually be 4 weeks out before I get the fill. I won't be there until week after next I just thought if I was going to do that I would need to get an appointment early.

If you aren't PB'ing or sliming I am sure you haven't damaged your band. I know it is easy to worry about all the what if's because I do it myself. Just take care of yourself, follow the band rules and I am sure you will have great success. Best wishes.
-
Yep, finding this site was the best thing that ever happened to me while researching the band. I would probably still be researching the band and surgeons if I hadn't found LBT. Once I got here I got all the answers I needed. It has become a daily thing for me now, I come here for daily support and it sure has helped. Welcome!

Congratulations on your nearing surgery date. I doubt any of us could say we didn't get nervous. I got so busy trying to get ahead at work before my surgery that I didn't have time to worry or even think about it the days before my surgery. So, try and find a project or hobby or something to take your mind off of it. It is over an done with so quickly. I am a "BIG BABY" when it comes to needles and such and I couldn't believe how easy it was. Take care. Best wishes.
