I think I was more freaked out about all the crap I put in my body by way of my mouth than putting the band in there. I also have several pieces of hardware in my ankle and have for a long time. It just doesn't bother me.

I am with Betty. I eat whatever I want or should I say I can. I always eat primarily protein and salad but I don't say anything is off limits. I get full with very little food so I very seldom eat things that I shouldn't. I can't do breads. I also don't worry about low fat or fat-free (i.e. salad dressing) I only eat enough to use about a tablespoon of dressing so it doesn't really matter.

Waist: 49 Hips: 60 inches Upper Arms: 17 inches Wrist: 7.25 inches Bust: 48 inches Calves: 18 inches Thighs: 28 inches With dieting you can expect to lose roughly 1 inch in waist circumference for each 6 to 8 pounds of body weight loss. If along with dieting you exercise, particularly by lifting weights, you expect to lose even more tummy per pound, although your actual body weight loss may be a little slower. The scale at home is showing between 249-251; this is weighing naked and in the mornings. The scale in the clinic at work showed 266!! This was at 9:30PM and I was fully dressed. There is such a big difference. I think I will shop for a new scale this weekend. I still need to drink more water. I think I am only averaging about 48 ounces a day. I need to get in excess of 64 ounces. I think I would like to get a bit more fill in about another month. Maybe .5. Weight Goal Stats Current Weight Your weight is 250 lb as of 05/31/2006. Weight Goal Your goal is to weigh 199 lb by 08/11/2006 Goal Progress You are currently 51 lb above the target weight. The deadline for your goal is 72 days (10 weeks, 2 days) away. To meet your goal you need to lose about 4.96 lb per week. ******************************************************** Base Metabolic Rate 1,878 * 7 = 13,146 3,500 Calories = 1 lb. to lose 4.96 lb per week = 17,360 -4,214

How long has it been since you flew to Kentucky? If it has just happened hopefully it won't last long. If it only lasts a day or two maybe you could just take enough shakes, etc. to Costa Rica to get you by a day or two. I understand the issue with the weight limit on the baggage. I am dealing with it all the time. I was always okay when the limit was 60lbs. but getting to 50 has been harder than I thought it would. Personally, I would try and keep my fill. Even without the tightness after flying issue I would try and carry a few shakes with me. Just in case you were to have any problems (i.e. PBing) you would have something to get by on. I ordered the travel pack of strawberry Sorbet from unjury.com because you just mix it with Water. I always have them with me just in case. Costa Rica is beautiful!

Amy, Gosh, that sounds horrible. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

What are your favorite "products". I know that probably seems like a silly question. I was cleaning out my travel bags (the ones that stay permanently packed) and I just starting thinking about how many products I have. I was thinking about leaving some of them at home, but I don't think I want to live without them. :grouphug:

sarabride - I haven't been able to drink cold water, especially ice water since I had my second fill. From some other posts I've read I think it is somewhat common. I sure want the ice cold water on real hot days.

My port has been moving.

I can't offer much help. I haven't had any change since banding. I don't notice any more or less restricition during. I have seen this discussed on here before so maybe this will bump it and others can provide you more knowledge.

Do you take off your shoes?
Barb replied to argon's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
It is not customary here to take off your shoes when you walk in the door. Guests generally leave their shoes on, whether or not you know the person. -
Jacqui, Do people in Australia call the rest of the world "up over"?
-
Primarily English. Sólo bastante español para conseguirme en problema.

Pre-band I would eat Krispy Kream or any donut that someone brought to the office, etc. I never get them myself. Post-band I could care less if they are right in front of me. I don't crave or desire food like I used to and I avoid bread (including donuts) when I am not at home. I have had to many problems with bread.
-
I still do the same things I always did, I just don't eat like I used to. Most people have no idea I am banded. I am just careful to order something that I am sure I can eat and stop when a get the signal. I spemnd more time visiting and less time eating and honestly, I don't think anybody has ever even noticed.

Let's hear it for............. Sugar Dazzle Thighs

Wow, looking great. Looks like the cruise was a wonderful time!

Yes, on the fading. I have heard that it fades and has to be touched up every few years. dsrjrr - that is aweful, I don't blame you I wouldn't go through that again. DonnaB- I know I am getting Brown for the eyeliner. I haven't decided on the lipliner color and that is my concern, a color that won't look bad if I don't have any lip gloss or lipstick on. lianna - looking forward to the pics! $60 is a great price. I was told at the Day Spa where I plan to go $350 for lip liner and eye liner.

I am right there with you'll on being a product junkie. Since the airlines (some of them anyway) have reduced the kuggage weight from 60lbs. to 50 lbs. I really need to take some stuff out but so far I am not having any luck........I WANT IT ALL!! HunnyBun - the chocolate Raspberry Shower Gel sounds wonderful. I have been using the BBW Holidya Sweets Gingerbread....love it. I have been thinking about trying some of the Bare Essential Mineral Cosmetics but haven't done it yet. PhotoNut - I too am a big fan of the Clorox Wipes, I have the Orange ones I my kitchen and the Fresh Scent in each bathroom. lianna - I am there with you on the Biosilk Silk Therapy. The stuff is priced like gold but so worth it. MaryB - Got the Sonicare. Where did you find travel jewelry cleaner, I need some of that. My other cool products: Crest vanilla Mink Toothpaste with Listerine Vanilla Mint Mouthwash Clinique Take the Day Off Ceanising Towlettes; then I still use my ProActiv for my oily skin. And my company just got me this new Pocket PC Cellphone - It is kinda like a Blackberry but only Microsoft Windows based. So now I don't have to carry a cell phone and PDA it is all in one. The only thing is it gets my e-mail (from work) through the cell phone connection so there is no peace....ever! I am still in search of my favorite mascara.

Congratulations!! Being in regular sizes is a wonderful feeling.

When this happens to me and I drink Water (which I seem to always think should help) I will PB, but it may take a while and the pain gets worse. For immdiete relief the only trick I know is that if I am stuck and I can't get it up I take a drink of a carbonated beverage and the beverage and whatever is stuck comes right up. If you try this do it in the bathroom because it is immediete.

Taking Suggestions for NEW LBT Features!
Barb replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Alex and Moderators, Thanks for making LBT the best online forum around! It was the people I met on LBT that helped me with the decision to get banded, and it has been the best thing I ever did. LBT is a blessing. I would love to have a ticker especially for LBT. I think a clothing exchange and recipe section would get lots of us use. Thanks again for everything! -
Lots of nurses. I am a Chief Operating Officer (COO) Trying to stay out of the Corporate America news (only kidding, kinda)

I decided I had to sign back on and add this. I got them about 2 months ago for the first time. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers Not a product I take with me but it sure helps around the house.

Yep..........(the dots because it said my post had to be 10 characters, that is even sillier than my product question).
