    Pre-op Weight training?

It all depends on your skins elasticity, your over skin health to begin with, your age, how much weight you have to loose, genetics, ect. Every little bit helps though strength training will be excellent for your overall recovery afterward the more muscle you have the better, you'll burn more fat. If you have had children it's a little like pregnancy but for the reverse keep your skin hydrated on the inside by drinking lots of water & outside with lotion and the results will be better then if you neglected it.

    Im so bumbed out

I am really sorry. Cheaper!! What a joke us being unhealthy costs them more. Good luck, with your journey. Mexico scares me some due to the lack of regulation but I am sure you'll be smart about it.

First suggestion is if you are married & your spouse has an insurance plan that would cover it enroll on their plan. If not and your company offers HSA accounts look into that then you could save for the surgery by contributing pretax dollars to a savings account, your HR department would be able to answer these questions. Does your center do financing or could you take out a personal loan? Call the insurance company directly ask if they don't cover Bariatric surgery at all? Or is it only without prior authorization? Or would they cover some aspects of the procedure but you would be required to pay the balance of the bill? Get a copy of your policy they are required by law to give it to you so you can be more educated on the policy then just the pamphlets they give you at sign up. Also I always suggest getting the name of the person, date & time you spoke to them & noting exactly what they tell you it's helped me out.

    Missing....

It can stretch your pouch & push food thru it can also cause worse gas & bloating its so not worth it. If you have to have caffeine there are some protein shakes with it in it Click, but whatever you do don't go back to soda it's not ok it's bad. Plus at 9 weeks you might just be ok with your surgeon for coffee depending our center that's pushing it.

    Huge slap of reality

Getting the pictures from getting my tubes tided & seeing the visceral fat around my ovaries. I knew that if it was around these organs it had to be around other organs & that scared me. You can almost ignore how "fat" you are but that I couldn't ignore.

    Anyone for November?

I just need to meet with the surgeon & have the NP go over the file one last time before I it goes to the claims processor. The NUT said that it could be done within the next 2-3 months, putting me in October or November. It seems so long but it's not. I just need to keep my eyes on the prize!
  7. Never have a random person ask me again if I am pregnant... Not being shocked in a bad way when I see myself in the mirror. To go in my closet & get clothes & not need shape wear to feel even remotely comfortable. To not have to go to the plus size store anymore because seriously I do not need sparkles, exaggerated prints or sequences on every top I own... So many things I am looking forward to!!

having by pass surgery on Aug 4th

Why do you think you can't do it preoperatively? You need to commit to a whole new way of eating after your surgery think of it as your new normal.

Had surgery on 07/14 - new to forum

My NUT said eggs are tricky they get stuck unless they are a salad with mayo or pain Greek yogurt - so maybe a poached egg would be better a little soft still with a slick exterior then you could get some extra water into the egg so it isn't too dry?
