I didn't get them in! I am pretty much at 3 per day. But tomorrow I'm sending hubby to Costco to get the premier protein one which I hear is good. All in all I think I'm doing a good job. Today is pre surgery testing. After that I'm going to start to tell some people like my sister.

Lissa... I just checked the nutritional amounts. It's kind of high in fat. Prob why tastes so good!!! I will check out premier. Thanks for the heads up!

Bandista. What other shakes did you try?

My favorite shakes is the Atkins mocha coffee. Not too sweet.

Congrats Lisa. I'm scheduled for November 4th. I just started my pre op diet. Man do I hate those shakes. I tried putting the powder in a coffee with lots of milk so it wasn't so sweet. Good luck!

As I get closer to my surgery date I am concerned that my husband's seemingly non interest in my life change is going to be an issue. I should say that my entire life I have gone through life doing things on my own and can't think of one major thing that happened to me while I was truly supported by someone else. So I have experience in doing things on my own. That being said I don't think I have under taken something this major and my feelings of anger towards him about being not involved or interested really are growing. I would love to hear about other successful or even non successful banders who had less than involved partners. He says he's happy for me but he doesn't read anything or inquire about after my surgery and it's making me crazy.

Hi Tracy I just started my pre op today. I'm scheduled for November 4th. I totally understand how you feel. Since yesterday I have been having second thoughts. I am trying to remember all the reasons why I started this journey to help me through this stage. Which stinks by the way!!!????

I would totally buy this. Perhaps online in a subscription service would work?

I am only allowed 2 cups per day of veggies. Certain veggies like cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, Brussel sprouts, and onions. The rest are protein shakes, broth and non sugar jello, drinks and ice pops. Some veggies are not allowed like corn and squash. But every dr is different. I would call to make sure

I'm in the exact boat. I am have lap band in 2 weeks and have little support. I'm going to rely on the people here and go to some support groups. I'm so scared of failing but I see so much success here that I know this time will be different.

I agree about waiting until after turkey day. You don't want to be in a hospital near the holidays. It's dead there and you don't have the full staff on.

I'm November 4! I can't believe it's less than a month away.

Mine is 14 days of liquids and shakes and 2 cups of certain veggies per day. Ugh

sounds like he is coming from a place of fear. Let him cool off and see how he is in 24 hours. My husband made a comment about me losing weight and leaving him as well and this is the most laid back non controlling person in the world so if he's not usually this manipulative he may come to his senses in a day. If he's always like this then it's a bigger issue that needs to be addressed. Just know that you need to do what is right for your health and well being and that usually is best for the entire family even if he can't see that now. Good luck.
