Huh 😳, i commend you, you are a strong person!!!!

I initially took 3 weeks off from work but because of a bacterial infection I'm off for another week till it clears up. As for chores ar home, after day 3 i was doing light projects that i never get a chance to do while working. Every day since day 3 i work on something and also either get on the treadmill or go for a walk for over an hour daily. I think it helps you to recover quicker if you stay active.

Yes @FluffyChix, i thought of that, i didn't use cheese and its so funny cos I've been dying to move to this phase of the diet but I'm really enjoying Dr V's green smoothies in the morning. So i tried the scrambled eggs minus the cheese and it wasn't as good as i thought it would be, i then decided to stick with the smoothies in the mornings for now at least.

I would love to have a single use lavatory at work, not going to happen though!

I know its rough, I'm not going to lie..but the 2nd week things definitely got easier. It also helped to keep really busy. Today is my first day of purees, so i understand, as ive been on liquids 1 week pre op and then 2 weeks post. Good luck, we can do this!!!

Hi guys, so i got the results from my poop test and i have a bacterial infection called C.diff.... most likely picked up at the hospital. Sucks! So I'm on antibiotics. This journey definitely has not been an easy one!

I feel you, I'm only 12 days out and I've stalled for 4 days... so frustrating. Trying not to think about it. Not only am i having about 400/500 calories from protein drinks, but i have diarrhea about 20 times a day and yet the numbers remain the same. Urgh.

Thanks @FluffyChix, I'm hoping its not an infection but i don't want to be lactose intolerant either! I've got about 3 dozen different types of protein shakes that are all dairy based and i just love milk, that would be heartbreaking! We'll see what happens, whatever it is, I'm just going to have to deal with it. I'll definitely go get the raw sauerkraut or kefir, hopefully something will help it as yesterday was probably the worst day for the big D, i was literally in the restroom a few times an hour. I'm keeping hydrated tho so thats good but my bum is so sore, the medicated wipes do help. TMI! Thanks for the advice!!!

I had surgery 7/23 and I had an appointment with my doc yesterday and he's insistent on doing light exercises. Walking as much as possible, (i do 10000 steps a day), low bikes and the stairmaster NO weights at this time till after 4 - 6 weeks post op.

I agree with @MsCallieigh, I also had surgery on 7/23 and am only allowed, protein shakes, broth and water. Its hard! Everyday i wake up to the smell of bacon, eggs and biscuits... my husband has to eat.. I'm just happy i don't need to cook it. I too just drink a protein drink or water and keep busy.. it's really hard but we can do this.

Anyone that knows me, know that i say exactly what i want/need to say, i can be stern and to the point without profanities and belittling. I'm happy that you were/are not offended but i got 2 pm's saying thank you for saying something. Thank you for the response!! So i just got back from my docs appointment and it turns out the excessive diarrhea is not normal, most likely i have slme kind of infection. He has sent me for a stool test on Monday then I've got another appointment with him on Thursday to discuss the results of the test. He said the most i should be going is 4 times daily. He also wants to rule out dairy intolerance, so he's asked me to change my protein shakes. He also asked me to try the probiotic. You were spot on! As for the Poopouri, thats so funny cos i ordered it a couple days ago from Amazon. Thanks again for your response, it was definitely spot on!!

I thought of intermittent fasting as it worked for me pre surgery, but my nurse adviced against it as I'm only one week out and i need to get in at least 90g protein and 64 oz water. Its hard enough getting all that in now and i have all day, much less trying to force it all in 8 hrs.

It is horrifying, i just hot back from celebrating my two best friends birthday, we went to a Vietnamese restaurant, i had the Pho broth with nothing else in it..pure broth, but i had to go to the bathroom twice, in the space of one and half hours...it was so embarrassing! Luckily their wasn't anyone in the bathroom when i went in there but when i was leaving this woman walked in, said Oh God and walked out...i was mortified!

We have 8 cubicles on each floor , the faucets are automatic and we don't have hand air dryers.. 😫😫

Wow, I'm not hapf as interesting as you guys!! 1. Personal goal this month is first to learn what i can/cant do post surgery, also figure out how I'm going to go New Orleans for my birthday without indulging! 2. Surgery type - 1 week post surgery - Gastric bypass Revision to Partial Duodenal Switch (no shrinkage of stomach), 3. Weight and BMI - i have my 1 week post op appointment tomorrow so will know my weight then 4. Fun fact - Well apart from me turning 50 on 8/31, so looking forward to it! I guess, I'm a Candy crush fanatic and am currently at level 5405... I was also a gifted student when i was younger, not sure what happened 😁 but in 1988, i won the Y.T.S (Young Training Scheme) award for all of London and was given an award by the Lord Mayor of London and had to make a speech. At the time The Bank of Nova Scotia was a Sponsor, they asked me to come work for them, i started the following Monday and spent the next 18 years working for them, the best years of my life 😊😊
