Hi and welcome!! This is a great site for knowledge and support. I ahve been on a few others as well and they just don't seem to have the traffic this one does. More traffic = quicker and more responses to your questions and concerns. Good luck to you and look forward to seeing you around!

Love the chocolate ones and was planning to try to caramel ones next. SO YUMMY!!! Keep them in my desk at work for that lag time between lunch and quitting time. Great afternoon pick me up.

I use the wash, dry, hydrocortizone method too.:bolt:

Congratulations on your decision, Mike. There are a lot of us on here who have chosen to keep the surgery a secret because of reactions exactly like the ones you got. Good for you for standing up for your health and future. Good luck!

Wow...that is really sad! Good for you for staying strong under the circumstances. I can definitely see how seeing someone gorge themselves like that could make you really think twice about eating. Stay strong and try not to let her get to you too bad. -

What worries you (or worried you) about getting banded?
kathystrick replied to BabyNicole's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My biggest worry is failure. I am so afraid of remaining fat for the rest of my life, but I know all I can do is educate myself on the right things to eat, exercise, and hope for the best. -
5 days until surgery and I have toothache!
kathystrick replied to alice150's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to agree with Susan. While you don't want to risk having to postpone surgery, you also don't want to have your band surgery and already have an infection starting. Good luck and let us know how things go. -
Is your surgeon a general surgeon?
kathystrick replied to mommakatx2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc is a general surgeon as well. He does other types of surgery still, but mostly WLS. Good luck! -
Hi and welcome!! Hope all goes well for you. You will be on your way before you know it!

Hi and welcome!! Hope all goes well for you. The doctor's offices are really helpful when it comes to jumping through the hoops of the insurance companies, so don't let that stress you out too bad. Just do what they tell you to and you'll be on your way before you know it!! Good luck!! -
Hi and welcome!! Are you banded, pre-band, researching? This is a great place for information and support no matter what phase of the process you are in. Good luck to you!

Hi and welcome!! Hope all goes well for you. A surgery date by the end of April? Lucky girl!! If you are one of the lucky ones to have easy insurance, that is entirely possible. What a way to start the summer!! Good luck and keep us posted with how things are progressing.

Hi and welcome!! Hope all goes well for you. You will find there are people on here who have had the same problem. You can conduct a search maybe for "unfill" and it should bring up those threads. Good luck! -

Banding Process?
kathystrick replied to vanessaandgirls's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A lot depends on your insurance company. Some require proof of 6 months of a doctor supervised diet, nutrition classes, and the list can go on and on. Others just require some medical testing (depending on your co-mobidities most of the time) and a psychological evaluation. If your insurance company is not one of those that requires you to jump through a lot of hoops to get approval, you can get a date pretty fast. For some of us, the process just drags on and on. The best thing to do is request a copy of your insurance company's policy on weight loss surgery, then start getting your ducks in a row. Good luck!!
