Girl, I know how you feel, I was supposed to have surgery on Mon, the 19th, yesterday I got a call from my doctors office that he quit the practice as of today.,how tacky!!! now I am rescheduled for the 26th with his partner who did my endoscopy but can be believe how incredibily insensitive and weird??? God help us all. I'll keep you in my prayers. If they don't come through for me on the 26th I will seek another doctor. To me that is just unacceptable. I've been approved since July 18. The anxiety of this all is just too much, plus I'm out of work. God help us. Take care

Well, my surgery (lap band) is scheduled for next monday sept. 19. I'm looking forward to a new me. Will everyone say a prayer for me. Thanks and God Bless. By the way, I'm having my surgery at CentraState Hospital in Freehold New Jersey. Dr. Noyan and Washington will be doing the surgery.

Well everybody, my doctor is leaving his practice tomorrow and so I won't be having my surgery on MOnday after all. His partner will be doing it on MOnday the 2th one week later. How unprofessional. All of us scheduled for the surgery on the 19th will just have to wait and hopefully his partner knows what to do!!!! So all of you who sent me prayers for Monday, can I ask you to say prayers for me again that everything will go smoothly for the 26th for me and all the other poor people who have been inconvenienced. Thank you all in advance for your prayers and support. With God all things are possible.

Vanesa, I could just vomit from the week that I have had. Now my surgery is postponed one week because my doctor decided that he is going to quit! Tomorrow!, I just met with him last week for my preop appointment and eveything was fine. What a disappointment, If I want to have surgery I will have to have it done with his partner on the 26th, what am I going to do, I want to get this done so that I can move on with my life!!!!! Iam at my wits end! this afternnoon my hospital centra state called me to get me registered for my lap band surgery scheduled for Monday 9-19. One hour later, my doctors office called to say that my surgeon was leaving the practise tomorrow, and that would I like to reschedule for Sept 26 with his partner. I have been unemployed for 8 weeks, finally got a job and was scheduled to start working on the 29th. Now I have to call my new employer to ask if I can start work one week later. I'm so frustated, I don't know what to do with myself. How can a doctor just decide to quit, leaving all of us who have appointments in the dark? Why wouldn't he call us to inform us himself ? It's unthinkable and the receptionist really didn't have any answers, she said she was as surprised as I was. Now what??? Help, pray for me and for all the other patients who were scheduled with me and after me, could this be a sign??????scarey stuff.

Did I miss something? Are we supposed to be in Ketosis on this program? I definately don't want Ketosis! I want to have a healthy nutrition program, lose the weight and move forward with my life.

Vanesa,my family lives in Piscataway, what hospital is in Plainfield. My sister works in South plainfield. We grew up in South Orange. Now I live in Jackson, would love to hear from you. Are u scared about the surgery next MOnday? I'm so ready to lose weight and get on with my life

You absolutley do not have to tell him anything! You simply put in your request for time off, it is a medical matter and that's it. He will approve your time off and there should be no further comment. If he is educated, he should know that for him to inquire beyond what you have volunteered to tell him is an invasion of privacy. There are HIPPA laws to protect you. Don't be intimidated by him, just put in your request for time off, at take it . Speak to your Hr Department if you have further concerns. I can tell you from experience as being THE BOSS, we (bosses) are very sensitive to those issues, at least everyone in my company was. Remember, you don't have to disclose anything that you don't want to.

I was approved but it took additional time because my doctor had to send over additional information. I live in jackson, my doctor is Noyan, having the endoscope on aug. 16 and my band surgery on sept. 19

Hi, I'm new too. 2 weeks ago I had all of my pre-op tests come back ok except for urine. My PCP had me go for a UTI test, came back negative. Then he went away on vacation. This past monday, he came back faxed my medical clearance to the corrdinator at centra state bariatric center to find out that she has been away for this entire week. So hopefully on tuesday she will contact my insurance company horizon blue cross and I will be approved for surgery. IN the mean time, my hours at work have been reduced to part time, due to no fault of mine, just new administrators flexing their "power trip" muscles. I have been put on probation until Sept. but I'm sure they are going to fire me, I so need to get this surgery done before they fire me. I have heard that centra state is booking September surgeries already so again, I am worried that I won't get this done in time. Talk about stress! I have to now find full time work, money is tighter than ever and I'm at my wits end. Pray for me.
