Any couple who got surgery together?
cube68 replied to cube68's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thanks, and good luck to you, too. We have three kids, 9 year old twin girls, and a 6 year old son. Luckily, we have my mother-in-law to help with the kids and transportation. -
Dec. sleevers.. I saw a topic about this but lost it? Anyone out there yet for dec. surgery?

My surgery is considered 'out patient', but will require an overnight stay in the hospital. my surgeon will check up on me during rounds, and give discharge orders then. -
No pain yet, I guess the polyps ate just a sign that stones could be in my future, so beter to get it out while they are in there already, instead of an additional surgery in the future.

Had an ultrasound of my gallbladder this morning. Just got a call from my surgeon, and they found polyps in my gallbladder. Said they could take it out with my surgery, or leave it in, but would need yearly ultrasounds until the polyp gets bigger, and then a new surgery to take it out...

I don't know about anyone else here, but I think that is overly optimistic. my surgury was scheduled almost 2 months out after I finished my program. Filled with ultrasound, edg, presurgical trsying, etc... hope it works out!!! -

Went to the hospital the other day, to start non-surgical medically assisted weight loss, but now it looks like I'm going the surgical route. I think the sleeve sounds less scary than the bypass, what does everyone think. 46 years old, bmi 47.7, type 2 diabetes for 9 years, cpap for 15 years. Dave
