I love this! I'll remember to try to point out a few of these things next time I encounter someone thinking I did this the easy way! -

Thanks, everyone, for your info. I really appreciate it!

O, this weekend I am facing a new challenge. I am having to sit with my moth-in-law at the hospital, and am fighting to not eat out of shear boredom! I think she thinks I have lost my mind because I keep leaving the room just to walk around the hallway to get some type of exercise!

Have just begun using my fitness Pal and a flex fit, but my fitness pal keeps telling me I am not eating enough calories! I am getting my protein and water. Are others getting this reply?

CLEANED OUT CLOSET!
sandymom replied to blondebomb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a laundry basket in my closet for items as I shrink out of them. I really want to fill it up! I'm slowly starting to add to it now- 1 month out today! -
Awesome! My goal at the moment is just get out of the "fat-girl" stores! I can't even begin to think about a size 10! Way to go!!!!

That is just too funny! Thanks for sharing! -
You might want to try Benefiber. You can add it to a lot of things (I added it to my coffee), is tasteless, and works.

Yeah! How long was your stall? I've been stalled for a week!

Kent, I am so glad you asked that! I am in the same boat!!!! It was nice to read what people told you because I needed to hear it, too!

Yes, I do have an area that could be called dimpled. There is one place where my stomach sinks in. My dr. Told me that it might happen because I had a lap band that he also removed (at least that's what I remember him saying, it was right after the surgery )
-
I have had the same thing and went to the dr about it yesterday. He said it was from the internal stitches. I'm not telling you that is what is happening to you, but it is an answer. If it persists , call your dr. It does hurt like the dickens, though!

Looking for 7/22/14 surgery buddy
sandymom replied to tfowler's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have had a really bad burning feeling in my abdominal wall just to the side of my largest cut. I was really worried I had a hernia or something, so I had called the dr. office and was asked to come in. Fortunately, it is just a tear from the internal stitch. Good news it's no problem, and I have been cleared for all activity (yippee, here I come pool!) bad news, it still hurts... Lol! -
sleeve doesn't mind sugar- oy!
sandymom replied to tiredmama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Because there is no alteration to your intestinal tract as in the gastric bypass, people who have sleeve surgery do not commonly have dumping. There is a very good book written by Dr. Nick Nicholson "Weight Loss Surgery, the Real Skinny" that does a great job explaining the different surgeries and what each entails. I just heard about it yesterday and downloaded it from Kindle. And yes, the author happens to have been my surgeon- coincidence!
