UH..........hmmmmm.....I just checked, and I had my first fill 2 weeks after surgery. It was only .5cc. I then had another fill of 1.0cc 4 weeks after surgery. I did just fine, and I think you will too

5 days should be enough. Through in the weekend and you have 7 days of healing !! Who wants to deal with all the short term disability paperwork anyway?

I had three C-Sections (1994/1995/1999). I also had THREE hernia repais, all in different places on my tummy, all with very different major scars. The doctor was not concerned about doing my Lap band at all. 5 tiny scars are all I have from THIS surgery. You should be fine..and welcome to LBT !!!

oh how I miss Chinese food...........I have tried it once since being banded, and couldn't even get two bites of a chicken finger down.

I love my band, I love weighing 48 less pounds than I did April 1st, I love having self control........but boy do I miss chinese food !!!! I can't even touch the stuff without pbing .

I never heard of a 3cc band, only 4cc and 11cc. My doc says she never had anyone filled to 4cc. 3.3cc was the most she has ever filled anyone. I'm at 2.3 now and can't imagine getting anymore !

Does anyone know someone who has had the band who are age 70 or older? I really think it would be a great solution for my dad, but he turns 70 in December. He has no other health conditions other then being about 150 pounds overweight. I would like to have him around for a few more years, and without some sort of weight loss surgery, I am afraid he will start showing effects of all this extra weight. Thanxs-you guys are alllllllll great !!! <still haven't figured out how to paste my ticker-sigh>

Thanks for your response. How was your mom's recovery??? How is she doing now? How is she doing for weight loss? I really want this to work for my dad. he deserves a few good more years.
