Hi, I'm not surprise you were exhausted. I'm surprised you could even muster up enough strength to bowl. I had surgery on 9/14 and my doctor does not want me to do anything strenuous. The only exercise I am allowed to do is walk. Take your time, remember you had surgery and you're going to feel weak. Your strength will return. Just because you can do something, it doesn't mean you should. Hang in there!

My visit to the ER...everyone should know this

Don't ditch the water for juice. Remember juice is full of sugar and calories while water has zero calories and sugar. Have some juice in the morning with your breakfast. -

<p>Hi, my name is Gigee and I'm new to lapbandtalk.com. I'm so glad there are so many of us out there. I joined the band on September 14, 2007. Everything went extremely well. I did not have any after surgery pain. My recovery was swift (my husband and boys took great care of me). I went to work a week after the surgery. I could have gone back sooner but I was having so much fun being pampered and spoiled by my hubby and kids. My first post-op doctor visit was on 10/25. I lost a total of 17 1/2 lb. It would have taken me at least 8 weeks to lose that much weight without the band. My first fill is on Tuesday 10/30. I've declared September 14, 2007 my re-birthday. I'm going to Celebrate it every year. I can't wait to watch as the new me emerges.</p> TickerFactory.com <a href="Weight Loss - Diet Ticker"> <img border="0" src="<A href="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wGBlODJ/weight.png"></a">http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wGBlODJ/weight.png"></a>

I guess I did it right. I copies the tickertape and pasted in the UserCP. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for the help with the tickertape. I'm not sure if I got right or not.
-
Good for you! I never had a massage. I'll have to put that on my list of things to do for myself. How did you get the tickertape attached to your thread?

I didn't want my plumbing re-routed. Fewer complications, less down time and a slower weight loss. I didn't want the weight to come off so fast that my skin couldn't keep up with the weight loss - which meant plastic surgery to remove excess skin.

Hi Mom Chuy, I was banded on 10/14. My experience was been excellent. I had no after-surgery pain. I did not take any of my pain meds. The soreness got better with each passing day until one day I realized that I was laughing and coughing like my old self again. Everyone's experience is different.

Banded on the 15th..and I'm in SO much PAIN
Gigee replied to NP1978's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang it there. It will get better. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. I had zero pain. I was banded on 9/14 and I felt so good that I could have gone back to work on 9/17. I didn't because I told my manager that I went to visit my Mom. Use the pillow it really helps. Ask someone to put a little pressure on the ends of the pillow and then try coughing. Relax and don't push/rush yourself. It will get better! -
I like the term "bandversary". If your family won't buy you a gift on your re-birthday, buy one for yourself. I think it's worth celebrating. This lapband is my first step at doing something for me. I've put the kids, husband and house first for too long. This is me doing something important for me. I got a new attitude! Congrats on your weight loss. Keep up the good work. :clap2:
