Ok I'm finally awake enough to post. Surgery went well. Just took forever to get to surgery. Blood pressure was a problem so they pumped me with pills. Pain is tolerable. Not sure if it's because of pain pills or not though. Hardest part is I have not drank anything in over 24 hrs.

So many people have there's in November. It will be such a great support network. I'm getting a little nervous this morning as I get ready. I have to juggle dropping my boys off at school then driving an hour and half for check in. I hope I get everything packed. Two nights in the hospital. I was really hoping for one. But that's how it goes.

Just did my preop weigh in. Lost 17 lbs on 10 day liquid diet. Surgery check in is at 9 am on the 4th.

I'm not worried. I have no hair already.

I feel the same way. I have told my family but not hers. I spend more time with them than mine. I have not personally told them. I just did not want to be judged by them since they are all skinny. But she has been keeping them up to date. I did not realize it until last week. But what can you do. It's done. I'm not going to divorce my wife over it. Arguing about it is pointless. Let her know how you feel and tell her you love her and enjoy the make up session.

Day 3 was the hardest for me. It is a lot easier now that I'm on day 6.

Haha. That was not the problem. Not when I was going to be violated. Just did not want her to watch.

It kicks in pretty fast with a regular stomach. I froze it for an hour. The salts kept it slushy. Went down much better. I feel like a pro with those since I had two this year. And one every year from now on until the dr says stop. First time I had no problems really. Second time I had a really cute nurse and I thought crap! Made it a little worse knowing she was in the room. Lol

So it has begun. My first day. First day of many. I hope the next 10 days go by fast. I'm excited to have made it this far but realize I am so unprepared around the house for the next 10......no wait the rest of my life. I need to clean the refrigerator and cabinets out. Restock with quick Water and cases of water supplements. broth. Jello. My wife told me this morning to not forget that the rest of the family has to eat also. I'm the cook and shopper. At least she is coming around and getting excited also for a new me.

Oh I'm not going to file a complaint. I was just venting on here. My director was kind enough to change it after I pointed it out to her. She was very understanding once she realized I had not told anyone, even though she should have kept it confidential to begin with. I just thought it would be a good topic to discuss other people's experiences with breaches of privacy. What the law allows if one wants to keep wls private and how to remedy the situations.

I got one also but doubt I will ever use it. I also got a card for our cafeteria allowing smaller portions and smaller price at the register.

Don't take it as a set back. Use the next six months to try and lose another 20 lbs. The extra weight off will help you during surgery.

Haha. That's a good question I never thought to ask. The last two colonoscopies I had I drank 8 ounces of colon prep every hour. Of course 15 minutes after drinking the stuff I was on the toilet. It will be interesting to see what the veterans have to say about this.

It's fmla and should not have been disclosed to the whole dept. what if someone was having a more personal issue. Hysterectomy or such. Would you want the whole department you work with asking why you are taking time off? No. It's protected personal information.

Looks like you are sitting around 39.3 bmi. I would drink lots of Water and wear my heaviest clothes. Slouch some on the height measurement. It won't matter previous dr visits with the higher height. Do you have any other weight related issues? sleep apnea? And congrats on taking the first steps!

First day was rough. I had a friends sons birthday party to go to. Drank my flavored Water while everyone else is eating cake. Not fun. But I made it. Now it's all down hill from here. I did get some broth. Need to make my Jello. My dr has me on less than 500 cal a day. No room for snacking. Just jello broth Protein shakes and water. Lots of water. I realized I'm in the middle of a mid life change. My oldest son started kindergarten and now I'm rethinking where I live and work. Trying to simplify my life. Im looking for a house closer to my child's school that also has a lot of our door activities so we can walk or ride bikes. Also looking for a less stressful job that is closer to our new potential house and school. What a time to realize all this.

I'm on my first day of liquid diet. My surgery date is nov 4. My wife knows I really want it done and she has come around mostly. She is worried of course but she is ok with it.

I had mine about 6 weeks ago. I don't remember anything because they were also scoping the other end too. Just hope they did not use the same scope. Lol. Just kidding. They would have cleaned it first.
