    Hard Lump

I had the same lump. Before I finished my question, the doctor felt my tummy and asked if that was the spot! He knew exactly where. It is not a hernia. It is normal.

Good to hear that! I thought I was the only one that stalled out so early for sooooo long! I guess I just expected much better progress after reading the posts on here.

Thanks, honey, I really needed that. I, too, must weigh each day, BUT have been very lack lately in keeping up with anything else. I especially loved the "don't go into spasms of depression" part! So totally me. : ) Thanks again.

KQH, now I am depressed again. We are about the same on stats, but (I know, not supposed to compare) I am not as advanced as you. I guess I need to go back to the basics. It is harder than I thought it was going to be and am so afraid I have made a wrong decision. Maybe I was not ready for the lifetime change. Any advice from anyone to get me back on track? I am very proud of you for what you have accomplished! Just worried that I have finished losing the weight already.

That's wonderful! I wish I was doing that well. I've had a hard time for the last six weeks, since school started. I have finally dropped a few pounds so I'm hoping I am on my way again.Keep up the good work. It encourages me not to give up on myself. ; )
  7. If all else fails, schedule it for after your vacations. Then you can rest up from the trips and surgery at the same time! Oops, forgot the pre surgery liquid diet. Would NOT want that on my vacation! Seriously, except for the food restrictions, you will be fine in a couple of weeks, barring any complications. Two months out and I have a hard time finding low carb when going out to eat. Also, with all my other health problems, ten days at Disney would have probably killed me had I done it 55 lbs ago, before VSG. I think I could do it now. Good luck and we are all here for you either way!
  8. A male co-worker was kidding around with some sophmores today and said"You don't want to mess with this!" as he flexed his biceps. I jumped up from my desk, flapped my bat wings, and said "And you don't want to mess with this, either!". The kids cracked up!
  9. SOOoo glad to hear this! I felt so good at first and then hit the 3 week stall (that also lasted 3 weeks) that I asked my dr if he maybe just poked holes in me then glued me shut! I, also, wondered if I had been a failure once again or had ruined it for myself already. Now I am ready to get my focus back and start losing again! So many of us have been beaten down emotionally, by ourselves or others, that everything has negative connotations and we tend to think less of ourselves at every turn. Oh, to have back that value of self-worth back that I used to have as a younger, thinner person. Maybe that will be my ultimate goal while I lose the weight and regain my health: to regain a healthy self-esteem.
  10. Only 6 weeks out and have been on a 3 week stall. It may have broken yesterday. (That or I haven't had enough fluids!) Here goes: 1. Walking through the store instead of immediately going for a scooter. 2. Having students say, "Did you do something different with your hair? You look good!". 3. Fewer meds and less pain and discomfort!!!

There is a whole thread on that, something about gurgleing, I think. We all do it to some extent. Its like talking to yourself in "sleeve" language!

Yasman, I was so glad to read your post. I really needed that point of view today! I, too, have lost 20+ since surgery but only 2 lbs in the last 3 weeks. I asked my dr 2 weeks ago if I was done losing and he assured me that I was not. It IS very hard to see others who have lost so much when I seem to have stopped. I know all about "don't compare, blah, blah, blah" , but I want to see results !!! I will try more exercise and watch carbs closer. I'm getting plenty of protein and water. It is so frustrating. Grrrr!

You have come to the right place, darlin'! I have learned so much by just reading these posts. My dr.s office has given me much info and a good support system but if you want to know about the real life, just sit back and read!

So sorry, but how do I pose a question or comment on here that is not a reply to someone else? Thanks!
