Hi Morningoasis I just read your update and i am having the same issues. The pain on the one side and out of breathe and back pain are definately related. I just talked to my surgeon today and she reviewed my scans and said i dont have a slipped band but A dilated pouch. Her advice was the same wait those 6 weeks which i have 3 weeks left to see if the stomach will fall back down through the band and if not than a revision to the band. Im in Canada so that means back to Tijauna where i got my surgery. She put me on Prilosec twice daily and strict diet and not to eat 2 hours before laying down. But as of now going on my 4th week i still have pain on the one side out of breathe and back discomfort, so im thinking it still has not slipped back down. So im hoping with the meds for the best. So now im just waiting again. Do you have to pay for your revision they told me i just have to fly there and they would take care of me. SO i am thankful for that. Anyways thanks for your post made me feel better when i heard your symptoms that i didnt have a slipped band, as the first doctors told me. Thanks again hope all goes well let me know.

Hi just wondering what Dr. did your surgery I was banded in Tijuana too and had no complaints but just found out my band slipped did you have to pay to get it fixed did they give you a new one? Just wondering what your options were? Thanks

Thanks for the info. I went to see Dr Pietrse the wife of Dr.Afriedi and she called someone when we were there , Dr.Jim I presume , and they said to try the Dr. in Sexsmith first and if he had trouble then he would do us at the hospital. Ther eare 2 of us my daughter and myself so we'll se how it goes. We are having our first fills on the 6thof may. How many weeks after your surgery did you have your first fill? Ho did you surgery? I may have read it some were but do not remember. thanks so much for getting to me, I really appreciate it.

Hi, yes he uses fluro the first time i went it wasnt enough so i went back 2 days later and this last time i went im good now. He doesnt care if you go back like the next day or go often he is just careful the first time. But i was just firm the last time and said this is what i want and if id rather come back for unfil if i need. So it worked. He is accurate the first time ive heard horror stories about the needle in sexsmith and it costs money. Dr. Jim is free through outpatients at the hospital. Let me know if you need any other info.

I feel bad for you, im the same way my husband is soo pissed off he keeps saying we spent ***** and you keep eating junk food. I cant stop. I eat way less portions, and cant eat alot of foods like breads crackers but chocolate candy etc,, no problem. I was telling him about this diet that i wanted 200.00 for and he almost had a heart attack im embarresed when my family asks what ive lost since ive spent sooo much money. What are you going to do? When were you banded? I have an idea but my husband would flip. Dont you just love how supportive they are. I mean he let me do it and paid but i sure hear about it. Im going to try something called Bodytalk. Let me know how you do. and you are NOT alone.

Hi there, i actually get the GP hospital to do my fills they are doing alot more now. Dr Jim does mine but you need a referal from your doctor. My doctor is Dr.Afridi. You dont have to pay anything. Dr.Afridi would not let me go to Sexsmith the doctor there does it blindly and with no freezing, at the hospital it takes like 15 min, in and out and only the freezing needle stings than thats it. Let me know if you need any other info.

Hello. I was just wondering if anyone has the same day or around the 8th of November in Tijuana surgery being done by Dr.Corvala/Dr.Lopez. Getting nervous is there any thing i should bring or want to have fro or after surgery???? Thanks Thanks

Hi, Congrats on your weight loss you must be sooo happy. I just got my date Nov 8th so i am nervous and excited my husband is coming with me and we are going to Tijuana. I wanted to know were you get your fills done. Dr. Afridi said he would do it if he thought he could after looking at the DVD. Thanks
