Bean ~ my computer is s l o w as can be and it's hard to get on line sometimes so I just give up.....I am trying to get on atleast once a day though. Eileen kind of got me motivated again - I can't believe she did it today! enjoy your night!

Eileen ~ cute joke! Ira ~ awesome weight loss!! Keep up the good work! Renebean ~ I am queen of double booking things! I always write things down on little pieces of paper and then lose them ~ what I am trying to say is don't feel so bad, your not alone! BBQ pulled pork in the crockpot for sandwiches with a salad! yum! Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi everyone What a busy week! Girls Scouts started, my in laws were over (ahhh, what a little tequila in the form of a margurita will help you get through) gymnastics for Becca tonight, gymnastics for Sarah tomorrow, Dr appointment on Thursday, road clean up Saturday with Girl Scouts and Storybook Land on Sunday. You would think I would be skinny as a rail with all of this running around. Eileen ~ I haven't seen anything posted but, have you heard from your insurance yet? Hi to everyone else!! Have a great week!

Just a quick question ~ One of the pre-op requirements for my surgeon is to see a pulmonologist(sp?). I have to have a chest x-ray and a couple of other tests and then bring the results to the pulmonologist. My PCP seemed a little concerned about this, he said that if the tests and x-rays come back good, there should be no need to go further...it doesn't really matter to me but he really thought that this was overboard. Has everyone had to go through this? I'll do what I have to do if it means that I have a better chance of staying healthy through this surgery. Just wanted some input, thanks!

I don't have any bad health history and I dont take any med's or have any present problems(that I know of). My insurance is paying for these tests and to be honest- I'd rather these tests be "overboard" than not enough. I just want to be banded TODAY - so I am just impatient. thanks everyone

Well things are moving right along!!! I was supposed to attend a 6 week nutrition course 1 hr. 15min away that was only available on Thursday mornings and started the 2nd week in October, but I don't have a babysitter and was really starting to worry - WELL, I actually found a nutritionist 5 minutes away that specializes in Bariatic pre and post-op nutrition and my surgeon ok'd this as acceptable!! WHOO-HOO! Since this class is 1 on 1, it should only take 2 sessions which would make my surgery alot sooner. I meet with her MONDAY at 10! I am really starting to feel I am getting somewhere!! Just had to share my joy!

Are you a closet bandster? & Do you regret your decision?
Lisa*in*NJ replied to Time to love me's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have not been banded yet-I hope some time in November but only my husband, my mom and one close friend know anything about it and I plan to keep it that way. I refuse to allow anyone to to bring me down and I don't want any negative responses to ruin my excitement so I rather just keep it between a few people that I know I can trust. -
Just found this site, Surgery at 0945 tommorrow!!

Great to hear your doing so well, hope your entire recovery is smooth sailing! -
Well I met with Dr. O on Friday and we are now working toward setting a date for surgery yeah!!!! He feels pretty confident that my insurance will cover me... fingers crossed. I had to get a routine exam but also a breast examine HELLO!! wasn't ready for that, is that normal or is my Dr. just into big mamma's?? Yikes!! Anyways, all went well, I have to get all the routine testing done but the nutrition classes last 6 weeks and doesn't start until October - looks like I'll be drinking my Thanksgiving Turkey this year - o well, I am ready for a Turkey and cranberry shake!! That's about it for now, hope everyone had a good weekend!
