Well here comes the snow, Eileen did it get to you yet? We are only supposed to get 3-5" but the shore is going to get alot more which is a problem for me because I am supposed to be in Atlantic City at noon tomorrow for my pre-admissions. I am 1 1/2 hr's away with traffic and HATE to drive in the snow "now I am biting my nails" I would like to see some snow but NOT ON TUESDAY! Still waiting on the insurance - unbelieveable! Patty - haven't posted about it but I have been keeping up with your b-day situation, glad you made it through ok! speaking of cute Marines!! Here's a pic of my younger brother Eddie he just finished up his 2nd tour in Iraq - thank you God he is safe and home atlast!!!! He is finished his 4 years so he doesn't have to return at all! Well wish me luck, snow snow go away!

Hi Joe, Looks like we'll be going through this together. I am being banded the same day. I can usually drop 5-9lbs the first week of doing weight watchers. If you can get a hold of a book, you could follow it on your own for the next week..that's what I have to do to lose these 3 pesky holiday pounds. Good luck! See you in bandland!

I have played this at a friends house and it is AWESOME! I would be exhausted afterwards but it would feel great and it so much fun. I have wanted to buy it, but I have been trying to find out if there is a version for regular PS, I can only find it for PS2. Is the plug in version DDR or a copycat??

Good moring everyone, Your killing me with these recipes!! I have gained a couple of pounds over the holidays and am fighting to get them off again or my surgery will be cancelled! Ugh! It's so hard around the holidays! I called the surgeon again this morning about my insurance but nope, no response yet. This stinks because dh has to take off next Tues. and Thurs for all of my pre-op stuff AND I need to make arrangements for my kids. If the insurance denies me at the last minute I am going to be really ticked. Our only plans this week end is a lunch date with Mrs. Claus tomorrow with my Brownie troop - I'll post a pic for everyone if I can figure out how to. Well, enjoy your weekend!

Happy Monday everyone, We had a busy weekend, you can add me to the "all decorated" list. We decorated the house, the tree and all of the lights are up outside. I wanted to get done early this year becuse of my upcoming surgery. I am now playing the insurance waiting game. I was supposed to have an answer on Friday and as of today it's "still pending". I have a bunch of pre-op things schedualed next week in Atlantic City (1 hour 20 minutes away) I don't want to have to get a babysitter, and go down there to hear...sorry your insurance won't cover it. **I had a slap of honesty from my dd yesterday. I had decided to tell her about the surgery, she is a very mature, smart 8 year old and I knew if she found out about this another way or found out that I was in the hospital she would have been very upset that I didn't tell her. Anyways, I explained in watered down detail and even showed her a brochure of where the band was placed etc. I told her that I needed to do this to be healthier and so I can start doing some of the the things she does w/dh like riding a bike etc. I also wanted her to know why I wouldn't be eating for awhile, especially at Christmas time. Well, she was very excited and happy that I was going to have it done. She said she wanted me to be healthy and to be able to go on a bike ride with her. I could tell she still had something on her mind, so after some coaxing I found out that she was "embarassed sometimes that I don't look like other moms" she didn't say this to be mean. I teach her to be honest with me and that if something is bothering her, that she can tell me anything. Well, it took all my energy not to cry. It made me so ashamed it was horrible, she must have noticed my face because she gave me a hug and told me she loved me no matter how I look. I know that is true, but I feel so horrible that I am at a size that would embarass my kid. I guess I never really saw myself as obese oh excuse me "morbidly obese"- such nasty words. I guess you better be sure you want the truth if you ask for it! Well sorry to ramble on and on, just had to get that out! Hope everyone else enjoys there day, laundry and cleaning for me!

Ohh Cindy I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

Good morning all!! Sorry I haven't been around much, this computer is soo slow that I don't have the patience to sit here and wait for it. I looked into DSL and guess what...they don't even offer it in my neck of the woods. Can you believe that there are still places in NJ that you can't get DSL or regular ole' cable??? I can't believe all of the people who are all done their holiday shopping - you guys are awesome!!! I just started but I still have some to do. We try not to go overboard and we really like to remember "the reason for the season". Anyways, I do have some good news......DECEMBER 13TH!!!! Yep, that's my surgery date..gulp! They just called yesterday, I was starting to think it wouldn't be until after the new year. Now is crunch time to get everything ready for Christmas BEFORE I go to the hospital. I did not tell my 8 yr old...well because I don't know what to say. I don't want others knowing (just a select few) and I don't want to scare her....she was VERY upset when I had to have my upper endoscopy, knowing I have to stay over night is really going to scare her. Any suggestions????? Well gotta go, hope everyone enjoys this nice rainy day!

I just read that Star Jones had bypass, but then again just like T.V. I don't believe everything I hear or see. I am not bothered by celebs not being honest-I mean I don't think it's right but,..Advertisments are there to sell a product, these people are actors, It is up to us to make educated decisions on what we buy or believe. just my 2 cents

Good Morning to all! Sorry I have been absent ..again. My household has been down and out with this cold thingy that has been going around. The good news is that we are all over it for now (XX) that's me crossing my fingers. Nothing new here, still waiting to get a surgery date- the hospital "misplaced" my EKG results so now I have to get it done again today. It won't take long but it just holds up my date even longer. At this rate I may be having a "regular" Thanksgiving dinner after all. Minus the 2nd helpings of course Glad to hear everyone is doing well, Eileen- congrats on the weight loss-that's awesome! to everyone else.....have a great day!

Betty and Cindy, I have memories from when I was a kid as well and I love making new one's with dd. It was pretty cold but hey...we know how to live....a heated cabin with running HOT water 3 potties and a kitchen, oh yeah and a nice fireplace. We did spend a lot of time out side, most of the day in fact but it was nice to come in to cozy fire and I can handle sleeping on the floor once in a while! Eileen ~ I am trying to ready myself for a painful surgery and recovery so at the very least I won't be surprised and in shock, and happily suprised if it doesnt end up to be as bad as expected. I should have my date in a week so it does look like I will be drinking my turkey and pumpkin pie this year. YUMM! You can add me to the "sick kid catagory" also, both dd's have that croup cough and sore throats. Sarah, my 3yr old was up ALL night and just whimpered in my arms. This always happens around holidays..poor kids!

I am getting nervous and I don't even have a date so far. Hope your doing better and better every day! Wow, just got back from camping with my 13 Brownies and 10 moms in the middle of a 500 acre Girl Scout camp....all I can say is A W E S O M E!! we had soo much fun I can't wait to go back...hey, I am still a kid at heart! Just R&R for the rest or the weekend..ahhhh relaxation! hope everyone enjoys what's left of the week-end
