My surgery date was July 10 and I have yet to have a true hunger sensation. It's strange but I eat BC I know I need to eat but not BC I'm hungry. However, I do have cravings......however, I try to stay away from them.

@@IdaliaMay I too am 3 weeks out and it's good to see I'm not the only one who started soft foods early! Anywho...I'm slightly different from you. I only had to weigh my food a few times and then I had a great idea of what 3 ounces was. However, it's so unnecessary because I literally can only eat a few bites and then I'm fat full. I've yet been able to eat a full 3 oz meal. I'm not really counting calories either. I mean, I'm eating healthy foods (meat Protein and veggies) so I'm not really focused on the calories. The only time I look at the calories and sugar is when I'm eating something sweet...as yogurt, Jello, etc.
Honestly, I think you are fine. You've list 40lbs thus far!

----I use Guru scale from Bath, Bed and Beyond. It rallies your weight, Water and body fat.
----I weigh in once a week.
-----I hate all Protein Shakes now! Lol....but during the process, I enjoyed Muscle Milk- vanilla Creme.
-----I just needed help getting out of bed, but then I realize it was easier for me to sleep in my recliner.
-----my marriage is great and my husband is very supportive.
----Yes, Fitness Pal is great and I yes it daily.
-----lol...I jumped off the cliff ahead of you, it's completely safe! Lol...I did a lot of research and attended a few meetings where others had been sleeved already and I felt 100% ready.
Good luck to you!

@@Bobby46 I am 3 weeks out and I think about food all the time but IM NOT HUNGRY! I am on soft foods now and I'm only able to eat a little bit. Trust me, your tummy is going to fill up so fast, you won't miss not being able to eat certain things! Hang in there....it gets better!

@LindafromFlorida. Thank you very much! Yes I am going to follow orders but not sure how long I can go on like this without going to see my PCP. However, I want to stick with my de who did surgery to look after this BC it is directly related to this surgery.

Hummmmm strange, all my meds were liquid. I would see if your doctor could call in liquid prescriptions.

It started off as a simple itch around my incisions and everyone including my dr said this meant the incisions were healing. So I dealt with it. Now a week later, I gave bumps all around the incisions and around my stomach. I called my dr today and she said to take the clear bandages off the incisions and allow them to breath. I'm doing that but it just didn't sound right.
I thought they might have me come in and gave a look but they didn't. I'm going to try what my dr said but it doesn't sound right. Has anyone gone through this before and what did you do to fix it? Help please!!
....I am 2weeks out of surgery.

I felt crappy for about a week after I got home. Yes headache but couldn't take my powerful Advil...but no throwing up. It gets better. When I first came home, I felt awful but now that I'm 2 weeks out, I feel better. Incisions are still sore but all together, I'm much better! Hang in there...it gets better!

I am super excited! Tomorrow is 2weeks for me and I can have soft foods! I am so over Protein Shakes, seriously they make me gag! So what were some of your soft food favorites? fruit? Can I have watermelon...it's soft?
-
Almost 2 weeks out and I still get it. Not sure what it is or what it comes from....just uncomfortable.

I switched because I couldn't eat. I mean I would chew up my food very fine, small bites and all that and yet I spent most of my time vomiting. It was very hard. I stayed sick a lot. I wasn't losing weight, it was tough. I switched to a sleeve, all in one surgery and I feel great! I've already lost 22lbs.

Take you meds...suck it up! Good luck! Try breaking them up ahead of time. So they will be ready when you need to take them. Good luck....

My question would be.."did you have a sleeve or complete bypass?" Bypass you CANNOT use Alieve/Motrin (NSAIDS). Did you check in with your doctor??
@@4everbeautiful I had a sleeve. The only thing that was told to me was to stop using them pre-op and to use Tylenol post op for pain.

Ever again?

I was told not to use Advil or Aleve but Tylenol. However, Tylenol does nothing for me. I normally use Advil for my headaches and I have a really bad headache now. Just wondering if anyone was told thus initially but are able to use now? I am just about 2 weeks out...11days to be exact. Anything else I can take for my headache?
