I am only 4 days out of surgery and so far so good. It seems it's a bit more painful. Lapband I went home same day, sleeve I had to spend the night. Plus for so e reason my blood pressure kept going up. I have lost about 20 since I started my preop till now. I'm doing so much better.

Yes my insurance covered it. I have Aetna...the only thing was I had to go through the entire process over again. But it's so worth it!

Wow! Well I didn't tell my family about my surgery. Only my husband and he's been very supportive. He doesn't eat in front of me at all. I cook for my house but I don't eat it at all and although I cook the food, they don't eat in front of me. And my household is filled with healthy Snacks now. When you live with someone who buys the groceries, I'm sure tensions will flare when their not on the same pages this is a true test for you. Don't worry, you can do it. Just stay focused on you end result.

Yes, yes, yes! I had the Lapband in 2009 and I list a total of 50lbs and gained about 30 of it back. It was such a horrible experience. I couldn't anything. I would throw up everything! It was so bad that I knew I would throw up so I would eat it anyway, and head straight to the bathroom and throw up. It wax easy to keep junk food down. And yes, I chewed my food up very well....till it was mushy. I also took small bites, all that. It didn't work. I would get fluid in and out...then it came to a point where I could eat more and went to get a fill...paid my money, and they wouldn't fill my band. It was such a frustrating situation. I couldn't eat...I just couldn't. Four days again it was reversed to a sleeve and I'm so happy I did it! No more going back and forth for fills...Good Luck!! Go for it!

I have not but I will try it. I first bought the powder thinking I could add fruit and what not to make it taste better, but that didn't happen. So now all I do is drink the ready made shakes.

I am 4 days out of surgery and I've found that Muscle Milk, Vanilla Creme taste just like a vanilla shake. It's the best I've had. Honestly, I'm still not hungry so these shakes help me out. If you haven't tried thus flavor, please do. Try the ready made ones and nit the powder.

Only the incisions are itching.

I have 5 incisions and they all itch like crazy!! I am 4 days post op but my scars are itching like crazy! Has anyone else went through this....what can I do to make it better! Please help?

Ok, I am 4 days post op and I'm still swollen and I'm still having pain. I wonder if anyone has used a heating pad and if it helped! I asked because my incisions are cover by this plastic tape?

I've never seen those clear protein shakes...I have to look those up online. I picked up One a Day Women's Gummies, and I picked up B-12 Sublingual drops. What am I missing?

Unfortunately this is why I had my band removed. I could never hold anything down and food would get stuck all the time. I spent most of my time vomiting and honestly, it was horrible. I would always chew my food and take small bites but it was not working. I switch to the sleeve four days ago.

I thought I would be hungry but I'm not. I've cooked for my boys and watched my husband eat but it hasn't bothered me at all. Not hungry and I'm happy! I wasn't sure if I could drink protein shakes during this time or only clear liquids. Do they go down well?
