  1. Wow I posted something about this earlier...different diets, for different doctors...you were eating mushy food your 2nd week? What was your post op diet plan?
  2. You were able to eat mushy food your 2nd week? How did your tummy handle it?
  3. You are not alone! I even saw you other post about hysterectomy! We are twins....same day and situation! It's still very painful for me to move around! I feel my belly button about to rip open and right below my breast line painfully hurts....but I can say each day is better and better. I went for my check up Tuesday and I was approved to soak in Epson Salt for 20 and use heating pad and it has been heaven! I can honestly say it hurts to sit straight up so I roll and it hurts to walk without holding my stomach, so I hold it....But...IT HAS GOTTEN BETTER, TODAY IS ACTUALLY A GOOD DAY,

Well...hang in there..a lot of people get stuck, I'm actually not there yet....I'm still stuck in the yucky protein shake phase, but from what I've read, it sounds like you're doing everything correct.

  7. What was your first mushy meal? How did your tummy act? How much did you eat and did it fill you up?
  8. Wow! You've got to push! Well I will tell you I lost 10 lbs during my 2week preop diet. I was allowed one meal a day and 2-3 protein shakes as meal replacement meals and a lot of water! Good luck!
  9. Congratulations....you make this pain I'm feeling now all worth it! You look amazing! Do you even remember you pre and post op experience? Lol...

    Pre op

My preop was a protein meal replacement shakes and one low calorie meal, which included 3oz of meat and veggies and 2 snacks....and then after..post op was 2week all liquid, then soft foods. The pre was hard BC I was hungry but my post ( I'm 7days out) is ok BC I'm not hungry. But sick of these protein shakes! Congratulations and good luck!
  13. I totally understand. I've always been the one to work out and diet....my story us I'm working out more and completely changed my diet...which us true. The extra is not needed. I just don't want ppl in my business. I guess my fear is if for some reason it doesn't work or I gain the weight back, I don't want to hear it. Not really fear....I just don't want to hear it!
  14. Good question! 7 days out and I still struggle but I have found that laying on about 3 pillows helps me tilt a little on my sued, not completely but enough to be semi comfy! Surly better than laying on my back! Looking forward to be able to sleep however, whenever.

    APPROVED!

First of all congratulations! I know the feeling! I am 7days out and it's the best decision I've ever made. Well, where do I stArt....first I had to complete a 2 week pre-op diet, which was 2-3 protein shakes and one meal but all doctors are different but just in case I would start sampling some protein shakes. Also, I found that having my husband and boys with me was helpful, especially because I live in a two-story. Also, I find getting in and out if bed and shower was hard the first couple of days. I was really sore and in pain....BUT I DONT REGET A THING,!!
  16. Ok, I've read a lot about it but with 5 days out, I've not experienced it, and hopefully never will but just in case, can someone give me their personal experience with it. Not the dictionary version but your own personal experience. I previously had the LapBand and I vomited all the time, a painful vomit where I had to go lay down afterwards. I just want to know if the two compares. I currently have the sleeve BC of too many complications with the Lapband. Also were there certain things that would trigger dumping syndrome and for us "newbies" must stay way from. Thanks for sharing!

5 months in and only 33lbs

    Thank you for sharing!
  18. of course, haha well I wouldn't really call it a routine because it changes sometimes. But i go to the gym 4 days a week and run for 20 minuets, and go through all the machines and do about 50 reps on each. And on the 3 days im not in the gym, im at home, i walk the dog at a fast pace for about 30 minuets and then im in my room doing pushups, squats... TONS of squats! Along with leg lifts, sit-ups, crunches, planks, inner thigh workouts, lunges, all about 50 times (more or less). Its hard work but the end result is worth the pain it takes. (: Never mind, I see your workout here! Lol....thanks...
  19. You look amazing....please share your stomach exercises BC you stomach looks amazing. Do you gave a lot if extra skin?

I am thankful that you posted this because I realize I have to be mindful of what I eat, when I can eat.---I'm only 6 days out. I know how hard it is to stay on track but we've come a long way to turn back now. My question to you, because you're snacking so much, gave you experience the "dumping syndrome?"
  23. I am 6 days out and I haven't felt nausea yet. Although I am sore, some pain when I move, tightness when I walk but not nauseated at all.
  24. fccm04

    What would you change?

Plication or Sleeve. Honestly I had never heard of plication until now....so if course I googled it. I couldn't imagine having my stomach pulled, folded and stitch as I say in the video. Like you stated, I would be afraid of found getting stuck somewhere it shouldn't. Maybe I'm just bias BC I have the sleeve...but good luck with whichever you choose.
  25. Back to work in 5 days...WOW! I'm on day 6 and I'm still sore and am in pain! Do you have some pointer...please share. Congratulations on your progress.
