I have never had blood pressure issues, never. It's always been normal. However, since surgery my blood pressure has been very high. The day I was released from the hospital, they didn't want to release me BC of my blood pressure but the gave me meds in my IV and released me BC it came down. Now, I'm home and it's still high today 140/105. I'm extremely nervous. Going to the dr tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone ever went through this. I thought thus surgery lowered blood pressure not created it! HELP!

I'm taking the two meds from my doctor to help coat my new tummy, carafate and Omeprazole

I'm 10 days and mine are still there but edges are coming up a bit. I went yo my post op appt and my dr. just looked at them but didn't take the bandages off. He said just let them fall off.

I am exactly 10 days out and I am just now feeling "ok"... I am a teacher and I could imagine sitting in those boring meetings feeling as I do. Plus sitting up is not all that comfy. However, I do believe you will be ready for the kiddos return. However, even with the way I feel now, I'm not at 100% to handle my kiddos! But then again, I've been taking it easy. Not rushing anything because it summer. Maybe if I knew school was near, I would be up moving around more. Anyway, good luck....however with all that said, I would read more post BC I've seen ppl on here who had a quick recovery time. For me, it took these 10 days for me to really start to feel better.

Ok, measured 2oz of mash cauliflower and could only eat about 1oz because of pains. I'm not sure if it was heartburn or stomach pains. Whichever it was, it was like in my chest, maybe stomach and back....HARD TO DESCRIBE, but it only lasted a second. My guess is it BC my food hasn't had solids in a while or my new tummy not ready, or doesn't like it. Has anyone experienced this?

@@kathysleeve Not quite 21lbs in 4 days, it was since preop....so more like 21 in two-weeks, but thank you so very much! Haven't list this amount in forever!

@@onthefencejenny Honestly I am living it now! Pre op wasn't all that bad for me BC I was able to eat one meal a day along with the shakes. However, the post op is simply different. I mean, i am 9/10 days out and I haven't been hungry at all, so the liquid/soft afterwards isn't that bad. I know my soft foods don't actually start for a few meow days but I just couldn't drink one more protein drinks without gagging. I've had enough! Lol...I eaten a few soft items and it's actually ok. You can do it! The soft food is 100% better than the liquids. I never want to see another protein shake in my life!

It amazes me how different doctors give different rules but everyone does fine on whichever diet their doctor puts them on. I just find it strange how some people are allowed to eat mushy food within 2 weeks and done are on liquids for an entire month.

I ate a few bites of mashed cauliflower tday I made I did add Protein to it I had 2 oz...I wanted to take a test run an see how my tummy would react. So far I'm ok...I ate a tiny bit of cream of wheat this morning. ..we are heading on road trip next wk so I'm testing the tummy...I think we all go thru these thoughts an worrys. .we will all go thru stalls..I do no one thing my belly growls all the time during the day. I'm like u I honestly have a lil worry I guess I'm just waiting for the stall myself Iv lost 28 pds in 10 days...but this is wat I'm goin to address with my psyc Dr when I see her the end of month...I'm sure it's normal thinking but goin to try n not let it consume me..just stick to protocol get up a do something to get our mind on something else it's a behavior we must change...it won't take over night.. Blond bomb...can I ask you something...I tried the exact same thing today. Mashed cauliflower and my stomach had seconds of pain. I was only able to eat a couple of oz....how did it go for you? When was your surgery?

Although doctors have an educated opinion about medical stuff and what not, before I deceided on a surgrey I completed my own research. I would not let him tell me which surgery he felt was best, I would tell him what surgrey I wanted. He would have to do some serious convincing to change my mind. I would get a second opionon if that's not what you want. Good luck!

You've come this far and will continue to go farther....hold on tight and enjoy the ride!

I have 5 incisions with glue, no stitches, no drain and I was able to soak in the tub with Epson salt 5 days after surgery. And it was/is heaven!

I could not gain any weight....during my NUT visits, I could not any weight at all or my insurance would deny.

Oh I understand not switching at this point because of the money and time you've put into it. But dang...but hey, although the cost us crazy, this might be a good thing. I struggled with what to eat or nit to eat during my pre-op diet. Please post what it us when you pick it up. Interesting....

Can you "another doctor!".... This is crazy! I have seen a lot of different diets from different doctor suit I haven't seen one doctor make you buy their food, not even their shakes. Wow! This is a new one! Sooooo what does this food consist of?
