I didn't keep it a secret, but now I wishing I would have kept it to myself. As ERP said once people know especially family they have no qualms about telling you how they feel. My friends are very supportive because they know of the health issues. -

My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow,I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am; I was wondering has anyones surgery ever got cancelled the day of surgery because they did not loose all the weight the doctor asked?

Went for my weigh in on Friday July 25 lost only 6 pounds. Following the pre-op liquid diet as instructed. So disappointed -
@@Ria1202, you got this you have come to far to get side tracked. I fight these urges everyday especially now that I'm still on my pre-op diet. My husband has a sweet tooth as well and eats like a kid: cookies, chips, sodas etc, etc, etc. So believe me I feel your pain and your struggle.

July 29th surgery day!

I'm scheduled for the 28th, I am so nervous, scared, and excited all at the same time. OMG!!!! -
Ria1202, it did get easier not as hungry as when I first started. Today was a bad day I had a headache all day but I stuck to my diet. 4 more days to go before surgery!!!!!

Wow!!!! I thought I was the only one. It seems as if everything started moving so fast once I got approval for surgery. Pre-Op class, Pre-Op liquid diet, Pre-Op clearance. My head is just spinning. Excited and scared at the same time -
Don't worry I was told my approval could take up to a month. My patient advocate submitted my paperwork on July 1st and I was approved by July 7th. My Surgery date is scheduled for July 28th. Just have faith. Good Luck!!!!

Hello Everyone, I have a surgery date for July 28, 2014. I have to be on OPTIFAST for 2 weeks, I'm on day 2 and it is so hard. My question is does it get any easier to manage the hunger while on this liquid diet. All I am allowed to have is 5 OPTIFAST Shakes daily, water, SF Jello, a Crystal Light.
