Hi Everyone! My name is Mary I was wondering if anyone can tell me how it felt when you were on the rollar coaster. Did it hurt your band or your stomach at all? I am going to Cedar Point Amusement Park next month and I LOVE the roller coasters! I just can't get this image out of my head of my stomach coming up through my band or my band slipping because of the g-force or whatever it's called. My doctor laughed and said I will be fine but still........I am not crazy......really! LOL:lol: I would appreciate any input!

Where is the port located compared to the incision? Staple removal pain?

I am always able to feel it but I forget that it's there. You just get used to it after a while. -

My port is on my right side just below my ribs. I couldn't feel it at first but I have lost 50 lbs and I have been able to feel it for a while now -
Hi All! Just got back from a business trip (Vegas!!!) Had a blast and proud to report I still lost 1 lb this week!! Thats 41.5 total so far!! Yea!! I might add that the seat on the airplane was actually quite comfy and I had no problems with the seat belt!!!!! LOL So who here is from NJ and where? I am in Wayne, about a stones throw from willowbrook mall.

It is true - you are right. It is not all the time and it is always definatley less than before I was banded!! Thank you so much for your help!! What do you mean you only look great? You look fabulous!!

If diagnosed w/ sleep apnea how long did you use a CPAP prior to surgery?
msmarymac replied to Summer87's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been using my cpap since March (which was about a month before my surgery) but I was never told I had to be using it for any specific amount of time before surgery. I also did not use it for my overnight in the hospital when I had the surgery. 7 - 10 days should be plenty of time for you to get used to the machine. It is just a little awkward at first but the difference you will feel in the am is amazing!!!! -
So nice to meet all of you!! My name is Mary and I am 40 yrs old. I live in Wayne NJ and I have a 17 year old son. I was banded in April 07 and I am down 40.5 lbs as of today!!! So far I love my band and I think it is the best decision I ever made. Can someone explain to me what PB is? I see that a lot but I am not sure what it means.

I just wanted to say that you look great!!! I will have to post some pics when I get a chance.

I just got back from seeing the dr and I lost another 3lbs!! Yea!! It could be more if I could get my grazing under control though but it is a total of 40.5 so far!! I asked him about eating too much and if I could have stretched my band but he said no - and as long as I am not throwing up or having any pain (which I am not) then I am fine.:clap2:

I have never been on a chat site before - so forgive my naiveness!! LOL Are you still waiting for your insurance approval?
-
Hi everyone
-
I have already had 2 fills - and although I am making healthy choices (for the most part) and I am losing weight - I sometimes just feel that I am eating too much.
-
I was banded in April of 2007. Sometimes I feel like I can eat a whole lot (I know it is more than I should). I am terrified of stretching my pouch - can anyone else eat that way?
-
Thanks. When did you have your surgery?
-
How do I get there?
-
I had my surgery done by Dr Ballantyne as well. He is excellent! I had it done April 2007.
