My first appointment is scheduled with the doctor, July 17th! I am so full of nervous energy. My insurance does not require a 6 month wait so they told me it could be as soon as a few weeks after my initial appointment.
In March of 2012, I weighed 355 lbs, I made the change to work out 5-6 days a week and stick to a 1,200 calorie diet, by June 2013 I was down to 280 lbs. I then bought a house, stopped going to the gym and regained back up to 310 lbs. In November of 2013 I started back at it, this time with a fire. I joined sparkpeople.com and was inspired by so many people. I worked hard and stuck to logging my food every day, two days a week I spent 2 hours doing cardio, 3-4 days a week I did one hour of cardio and 40 minutes of strength training. I was down to 268 lbs in February 2014..and then I tore my ACL, was completely couch ridden, unable to walk for months and now have regained weight back to where I am now, 292 lbs. I no longer can work out the same way due to the ACL recovery.
I have exhausted my options on my own. When I tried to lose weight the traditional ways, I have run into road blocks. The sleeve will help me get on track, to a smaller weight and healthier me.
My surgery is scheduled September 16th!
