I was told to stop drinking pop and coffee prior to surgery. I couldn't imagine not having my morning coffee. I started with smaller amounts of coffee. I haven't had a cup of coffee since the end of June . You can do it!!

Absolutely nothing with carbonation, no coffee, no drinking 15 min before meals, during meals, and for 45 min after. -

Thanks! So do they go off your initial consult weigh in or your last weigh in with the nutritionist?

So has anyone with Cigna been approved with a BMI of 40 and no co-morbidity ?

I can relate to everything that has been said. I have my last nutritionist appt. august 26 then submit to insurance. Hoping for late sept. Or early oct. I can't wait to start feeling better and get back in the game of life!!

I found out my surgery won't be until first of October. I also need to lose 15lbs before surgery. Would love to have some diet buddies -
I hope you all find the support you need and deserve. I have an absolutely supportive husband and family! I don't know if I could do the sleeve and be successful without them

Absolutely no coffee or soda for me again. I haven't got my official diet yet but I do think I can have solids it's just very calorie restricted. 700 calories a day for 2 weeks -
I have told my spouse, children, parents and brothers & sisters, a few close friends. I don't feel it's something everyone needs to know. I am comfortable with that.

Hi, I have my last appt. with dietician on august 27. My surgery date is tentative for sept. 10. I am so ready to feel better !!! I would also like to be in touch with people who are going through the same surgery around the same time. -
My last appt. is August 27 so I am hoping for surgery date around sept. 10

I feel like crying......weight loss before preop diet?!

I haven't needed to lose any weight on my supervised diet but I need to be 10 lbs less on surgery day than I was at consult. My last appt. is August 27 and I will actually need to lose 16lbs. It is helpful yo read everyone's suggestions, thanks
