I won't eat fruit which has a pit. Don't like my teeth touching it.

Forget him. You deserve so much better. If he wanted to slow down and date other people, he should have said just that. All he said was slow down. Creep.

See when she told me that she see's I have been calling everyday, I would have been like, "Yup! And I am going to continue to do so until I get my approval, so you can either connect me to the correct department or get me your supervisor." I work in cc so I don't put up with much crap.

Single? What's single? LMAO.

Sure. Why not Ashley.

I have completed all my pre-op requirements for insurance and waiting on everything to be turned into insurance. It is driving me nuts waiting. And this I will go even more when it's turned in and waiting on the insurance to approve. Then even more crazy when I have a date and have to wait for it to arrive. By the end of this, I will be nuts. LOL :omg:

Wow Awesome. I am seeing green too! I have completed everything they require. Just waiting on the psyc report to be sent to my pcp so everything can be submitted. He said it would be ready by 01-15-08 but I think I will start bugging them since you said it was quick for you.

OOOOOHHHHH!! I love CI too! Ha, we are so alike!

Does your DH or SO know how much you weigh?
pippinje replied to cQQlgirl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My DH doesn't know the exact number, but he can ball-park it. It's not a big deal between us. We are both going through the insurance motions right now and fingers-crossed both have the surgery around the same time. -
Oh yeah. I have read Patricia. I am currently reading all the Lisa Jackson books. Love her! They are more romance/thriller. I will have to check out the Stephanie Meyer. Thanks for the tip. I guess I like pretty much anything TV and book wise that is either horror, thriller (LOVE psycho thrillers), forensic, drama, etc. House is one of my favorite series. Ghost Whisperer isn't too bad. I watched Medium when it first started, but stopped. Of coarse, I said CSI. I like the intriguing(sp?).

I put my vote in for the chat idea.

Ringing in the New Year Cajun Style!

GEAUX TIGERS! Loved every minute of it! Kinda disgusted though because a friend of my DH called at 3:30 pm and said he hadn't been into his office in a while, but went in today and found a package in there from a client. Guess what it contained. 4 tickets to the game. Yup. And we are about 4 hrs from NO so we would have never made it in time. UGH!!!!! Oh well! Still had fun at home! -
when should i start calling insurance.....
pippinje replied to jacole1820's topic in Insurance & Financing
I am going to start calling the day submitted! Seriously. -
Famous, It really depends on what your insurance requires. I have Empire BCBS and they require : Medically Necessary: Gastric bypass and gastric restrictive procedures with a Roux-en-Y procedure up to 150 cm, laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (the Lap-Band® System), vertical banded gastroplasty, or biliopancreatic bypass with duodenal switch as a single surgery, is considered medically necessary for the treatment of clinically severe obesity for selected adults (18 years and older) who meet ALL the following criteria: BMI of 40 or greater, or BMI of 35 or greater with co-morbid conditions including, but not limited to, life threatening cardio-pulmonary problems (severe sleep apnea, Pickwickian syndrome and obesity related cardiomyopathy), severe diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease or hypertension; AND The patient must have actively participated in non-surgical methods of weight reduction; these efforts must be fully appraised by the physician requesting authorization for surgery; AND The physician requesting authorization for the surgery must confirm the following: The patient's psychiatric profile is such that the patient is able to understand, tolerate and comply with all phases of care and is committed to long-term follow-up requirements; and The patient's post-operative expectations have been addressed; and The patient has undergone a preoperative medical consultation and is felt to be an acceptable surgical candidate; and The patient has undergone a preoperative mental health assessment and is felt to be an acceptable candidate; and The patient has received a thorough explanation of the risks, benefits, and uncertainties of the procedure; and The patient's treatment plan includes pre- and post-operative dietary evaluations and nutritional counseling; and The patient's treatment plan includes counseling regarding exercise, psychological issues and the availability of supportive resources when needed. In English, a letter from primary stating diets tried and failed with post op programs in place, letter from nutrisionist, psych eval. They don't require the 6 mo diet that some do. I completed everything today and now just waiting for all the reports to be finalized and sent to the insurance company. Call your insurance carrier for detailed information. Good luck!

ok. Here goes: I love to play pool. My DH has taken a team to the Nationals in Las Vegas 6 times and I have taken a women's team once. :eyebrows: I bleed purple and gold, which means I am a die-hard LSU football fan! I try to go to as many games as possible and would love for season tickets to fall into my hands! Absolutely ecstatic that they are the new National Champions. Geaux Tigers!:whoo: I love to read. Sickeningly (sp?) into forensics. LOVE CSI. I am the mom of one wonderful six year old daughter, who keeps me REALLY busy, and leaves little time for any other hobbies.

Hey ya'll. My name is Jenna and I am 28. Live in Louisiana and I am not yet banded. I just finished all the preliminaries for the insurance company today and waiting for all the reports to be sent to my primary so that it can be submitted to insurance. (Wish I had a time machine to fastforward this process )

Hey everyone! Just wanted to speak up and add another tick to the 20 pole!

Ringing in the New Year Cajun Style!
pippinje replied to pippinje's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, I am from West Monroe. Currently in the process of getting all the necessary steps in for insurance approval. I have already had my consultation and my nutritional evaluation. I have appointments on 01-08-08 for my psych evaluation and work-up. Hopefully then I will have all the needed information to provide to the insurance company for approval. I have been about pulling my hair out trying to get pre-certification for the psych evaluation with my insurance co. I get a different answer every time I call: you need pre-cert, you don't need pre-cert, you only need pre-cert for testing, blah, blah, blah. I am just going to call the psychologist tomorrow and get the CPT codes and call the insurance company with those and have those codes pre-cert and get them to fax me confirmation so I have ease of mind. I am a loving mother of one 6 yr. old drama queen! Oh yeah. 6 going on 21. Keeps me on my toes. Now I just have to lose the weight to keep up with her. I will not be going this journey alone though. My husband is also working on getting his information together to have surgery and just maybe we will be able to have it the same day! Well, I think I have written a novel! Anymore cajuns out there? -
How about Losing Leapsters? (coming from a Leap Year baby )

WB! I was wondering when botho of you would turn up. Thanks for the wonderful card Lauren.

I got a beautiful card from her as well. Wish things would get back to normal around here. Maybe things will get more relaxed now that the holdays are almost passed.

Well the good thing about the pysch eval for me is that effective 01-01-08 my policy is no longer using Magellen for it's behavioral health, it will begin using Anthem Behavioral and I have heard alot better things about them.
