Hello all. Had my RNY today. Everything went well I'm just sooooo sore. Wanted to say appreciate the forum. Great way to get support

Doing great. No complaints. Lots of energy, no strange pains, drinking all my water and getting all my protein in. After 5 weeks on liquids I'm ready for anything not mixed from powder!

Same here. Had RNY 7/24 and I'm not having any issues at all. Seems very strange to not have any pain, and enough energy. I'm trying to convince myself to not obsess about it. Thanks for posting.

Had my RNY 7/24. I lost 35 pre op. Down to -42 now. My 2 week check is tomorrow. I'm nervous because I don't have any issues- no stricture, no weird pains, I have no trouble getting my water in, walking about an hour a day, able to drink a cup of liquid without pain. Its like I can't tell that I had the operation lol. I know I shouldn't be worried, but I have the irrational fear that I have already stretched my pouch.

I did 3 weeks on the Bariatric Advantage Meal Replacement shakes. Tried them all first to see what I liked. Had 4 shakes a day, could have clear broth, no caffeine. The first week was bad. Head hunger that wouldn't go away. After my RNY the Dr said my liver was almost normal size and made his job a lot easier. My discomfort was worth having a happy surgeon. Bottom line is always do what your Dr says. If you have questions always ask. We aren't the ones operating on you

That's a tough one. People will end up finding out and personally I don't like to lie. If someone doesn't know and they say something, I just say I'm trying something different, and making better choices. It always depends on the other person but so far people have been very supportive. I can't control what others think, that's part of what got me addicted to food to begin with. HTH.

I started my liquid 3 weeks the evening of 7/3. I just couldn't be around a party with food, the temptation would make me miserable. It paid off though, i had my RNY on 7/24 and ny surgeon said my liver was normal size, which made his job easier.

Hi, Lovebug. I'm new here as well, had my RNY on the 24th. Glad I found this community, otherwise there are a few things that I wouldn't have known going in.
