I bought mine at Target. Most groceries (at least around here) carry it and I think maybe Walmart does, too?

It's OK to get stoned, but not to lose weight.
agirlnamedfrankie replied to Kindle's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This is just based on a quick search but it looks like Colorado ranks in the lowest for obesity percentage and highest for pot smokers. Maybe they are just addressing issues in order of priority to their people? (Not endorsing, just thinking.) -
August post op sleevers: Check in
agirlnamedfrankie replied to motherof5's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey all - things have been pretty uneventful over here but as of today, I'm officially into the "overweight" category and no longer obese which is kind of a fun milestone. I'm down 45.5lbs since my the start of my pre-op diet on August 1st. Hoping to drop 4.5 more by my birthday in two weeks as 50lbs would be a nice celebration. That would put me 22 away from ONEderland and 33 away from a normal BMI. Most minutes that seems so achievable and some minutes, I get too excited and can't wait. Definitely need to pick it up on the exercise, though! Hope you're all doing well! -
How Long After Surgery Can Someone Eat Hotdogs
agirlnamedfrankie replied to drelex210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had one at a little over 2 months out. No bun, just a little mustard. Went down fine for me but I haven't had problems with any food so far. -

What are you drinking?
agirlnamedfrankie replied to Beckyyb93's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Right after surgery, my doctor had me start out on a 50/50 mix of apple juice and water. Maybe you could try that and see if it tastes better than plain water but can help cut the sugar. I mainly drink a mix of Crystal Light Lemonade and Iced Tea - a CL Arnie Palmer. -
I've had sashimi a few times recently and really enjoyed it. I love sushi and miss my big old rolls with rice and tempura shrimp and whatnot but I haven't had rice since surgery and probably won't try to. There are lots of threads about sushi on these boards, you can do a search and read through them but several people recommended asking for rolls that didn't include rice - they usually have one or two made with seaweed paper. Otherwise, I would think any type of sashimi would be fine, too.

compression socks
agirlnamedfrankie replied to WL WARRIOR's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine didn't but suggested I bring some as I had to fly home afterwards so I just bought a pair off Amazon. -
I would feel like "well, I hope I fit in the seat and don't have to buy an extra ticket then." Because the thing is, being a bigger person CAN mean that you need to buy two tickets. Your ticket price entitles you to a (rather small...as a tall AND overweight person, I get it) space and if you happen to need more than that area of space, you have to pay the requisite amount of money. That's just a fact of flying, not a judgment about what someone weighs or should weigh. I guess she could have said nothing (especially in this case since it ended up not being necessary) but then what about the previous poster who had the crew wait until everyone was settled and then made a big deal of making her move in front of everyone? That doesn't seem like a preferable option to me either.

I can understand how this would be a humiliating conversation to have but I am really not seeing cause for all the pitchforks. An airline employee saw someone who they thought might potentially not fit within the restriction of a single seat and called her over to privately discuss that it may be an issue and give a heads up as to what may need to happen. She didn't grab a megaphone and announce it to the entire boarding area or make a scene in front of rows of seated passengers. I really don't see how any of this is fat shaming or should result in money or free trips.

What happened to me this morning ?
agirlnamedfrankie replied to alyce20's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@alyce20 If you find out it's the Peanut Butter you have a problem with, try PB2. It's a powdered peanut butter and works great in shakes. @@sherrie1957 I take the NatureMade sublingual B-12. It's cherry flavored and actually quite good. Maybe try switching? -
great site to research surgeons in Mexico
agirlnamedfrankie replied to jspitznogle's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I would be curious to know who the "we" is behind the site. There doesn't seem to be any information about who is compiling the information and they've used a private domain registration. And they sell advertising to surgeons and bariatric centers. Just things to keep in mind when using the site. -
Bandages on wounds?
agirlnamedfrankie replied to knzt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had just big old square bandaid-type bandages and they told me to take them off when I got home to let the incisions air out and to shower and then to put new ones on when going out just to protect clothing from any bleeding. -
Why can't I seem to drink liquids

Have you tried anything besides water? A lot of people report finding something flavored to be more tolerable...Crystal Light, Mio, watered down apple juice, etc. -

@@MissMac - Do you not get squiggly red underlines on some words when you type? For instance, under "grammer." I do and can right click and select the correct spelling of the word. But I'm not sure if maybe that's a function of my browser or my operating system and not universal. -

agirlnamedfrankie replied to GummyTummy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Nutribullet, Magic Bullet, Other?
agirlnamedfrankie replied to RedSalamander's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got a NutriNinja after I read a Consumer Reports testing that said metal shards broke off the NutriBullet blades when using it with ice (which it's not intended to handle, I guess).
