    My subtle opinion is that we pay them for their skill and their professional opinions. That being said, you are the patient and can always disagree. If they are backing up their professional opinions with facts (which they should) they may have valid points to consider but you are the patient and you ultimately make the decision...take some time to research and make the best decision for your needs!     Just got approval from insurance yesterday and my surgery date 8/14!!! So excited!!! Anyone else? I'm having a band to bypass procedure.
