    July 9th banded

I was banded July 9th. I have lost about 15 pounds. I can tell I am loosing inches, but it's pretty depressing when the scales want move. I can eat pretty much anything also. I just have to remember to eat slowly and in small portions. I really don't get enough protein though, it takes so long to chew it up good and then I get full really fast on meat. I try to eat eggs often. and also cheese. I have not been exercising. I have really bad joints but that's no excuse, I need some motivation. But I don't think they sell that in a bottle. Keep me posted. We were on vacation for several weeks and I had so much catching up to do at work I haven't been visiting the forum.
  2. I guess your surgery is over by now. I want to hear from you as soon as possible. I hope you're feeling good. I have been praying for you. I am on vacation out West for 3 weeks but I will check on you when I have internet connection. All the hotels aren't equipped with it yet. Take care of yourself. Yellowsing been :clap2:
  3. First of all good luck to you again. You're in my prayers . Ask someone at the hospital if it's ok for you to have nail polish on. I wouldn't want you to spend:) your money on that and have to take if off before going into surgery. It maybe be ok to have clear polish. They check your nails to see if your circulation is doing ok. My husband is a deer hunter also. I'm in Alabama and we're leaving tomorrow, the 24th for Colorado to elk hunt. I hope it's snowing. We hardly ever get snow down South. Let us hear from you. 4. :clap2:I was so scared the night before surgery. I knew some one in my town that had already had the band. So I called her that night and she made me feel so much better. I had mine in July. No problems at all. And really you can still eat the foods you like after you get adjusted to the band. Which won't take long. You just can't eat as much. And isn't that what we all want? I'll pray for you. I know things will go well. Yellowsing
  5. Don't be scared. You want believe how easy the surgery is. I woke up with some pain from one incision, but they quickly gave me pain med. and I never hurt again. Stop worrying about what you might be putting your family through. They will be so glad you had it done. Because you will be healthier, feel better and also like yourself and everyone else more. I know all about the diets. That's why I had the band done. I could not face another diet. Oh sure I can loose weight on them. But can never keep it off. I just knew I had to do something that was going to control my eating problem for me. It's not a quick fix. It can be slow. But I know that now food it no longer controlling me. Good Luck I'll say a pray for you. Yellowsing

    July 9th banded

I'm new to this site. Just found it today. Wish I had found it sooner. I was also banded July 9. I'm finding out there are lots of things I don't know about my own band that I really do need to know. I've already had 5 adjustments. They say everyone is different. I have only lost 12 pounds. I can eat solid food. The biggest problem I have is chicken. I have to chew really, really good or it will not go down. I have had some throwing up because of it. I've got to slow down and chew better. Good luck to you. Yellowsing.
