I'm experiencing only what I can guess is restless body syndrome. If that's such a thing. It's not my legs either. Mostly torso/back/arms. First it was just at night. Now it's all day and night. I literally feeling like I'm crawling out of my skin. It's just a terrible sensation. Like I could just freak out inside! Anyone feeling this? Or know anything?

Heyyy! Heading out that way for Ted Nugent tomorrow! I'm good! Finally! That was a very difficult 4 weeks. Really regretted my surgery. Thought I ruined my life. Pain management was an issue. Then, it's kind of like I woke up one day and everything was getting better. I feel great now. How are you coming along?!? Carolyn -

Restless BODY syndrome?
FosterPussycat replied to FosterPussycat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went to my family doctor and he kinda shrugged it off like my surgeon did. How are WE feeling this way but they have never heard of it??? He said to just suffer though it, it should pass. Well, that doesn't work for me, I'm a truck driver and I can't NOT sleep. He did prescribe Xanax for emergency night use. Which is the only thing that has knocked me out. I will tell you what I think has helped. I took all of your suggestions...not sure if it's why it's working or it is just passing itself. I upped my Iron. And I eat iron rich foods too. Taking B12 daily, not weekly. Getting in electrolytes and enough Water. Which is difficult. A sip every 15 mins if I have to. Walking a mile a day. So far, it's better! And I have Xanax just in case! -
Restless BODY syndrome?

My surgeon and NUT had never heard of anything I described. So, he wasn't able to prescribe anything. Kinda shrugged it off and suggested hormones and nerves. Unable to prescribe Xanax as well. Wtf?! Going to my family doctor tomorrow, maybe he can help. I hope! Feeling really discouraged :/ -

Very physical job and worried :(
FosterPussycat posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Does anyone else have a very physical job? I was sleeved 6/11/14. I'm due back to work July 21st, *I think*...I'm a truck driver and unload 99% of my own freight. Hundreds/thousands lbs freight with a pallet jack And/or by handcart. I'm extremely nervous about not being able to preform my job, as I am still sooooo tired and so winded easily. I could sleep 14 hours a day. I still get lightheaded, but not as bad as it used to be. Pain management was terrible in the beginning. And I'm way behind in food. It's still pretty painful so I'm still on three Protein shakes a day. Some days I'm able to eat a little pudding, or a string cheese. I'm super scared. Should I be asking my doctor for more time off? Ughhhh don't want to lose my job! Been doing Water aerobics daily 1-2 hours and dog walking. Just...so...tired Carolyn -

Are you still taking Valium on a regular basis or did it dissipate after a while??? Hopefully my doctor has heard of this before, with all these responses. I didn't want him to think I'm a nut! -

Is being out 6-8 weeks normal for someone like me? I just hope my doctor will work with me. He seems very eager to send me back. And I'm like wtf?!? I can't! -
Restless BODY syndrome?

I tried a Benadryl...nothing. Added Zquil, nothing. The only thing that seems to help is Xanax. Which I HATE taking. I do plan on informing my doctor this Monday, July 14th and I hope there's a solution. I will add, I took the Iron supplement suggestion. I do believe I've been iron deficient majority of my life. I ate cream of wheat the other morning. Which gave me the most energy I've had, since being sleeve. That night was much better. I bought an iron supplement the next day. I took one this morning and just crossing my fingers that this does the trick. It really is the most awful feeling I've ever had. This added stress doesn't help I'm sure. Surprised to hear I'm not totally alone! -
Restless BODY syndrome?

Sorry, I should have included more info. Sleeved 6/11/14. Only on protonix and my Vitamins. Never had this happen in the past. Only heard of the restless leg syndrome. But this is my whole upper body. I feel like I could jump out of my skin. Just AWFUL. Started just a few nights ago. I don't see my doctor until July 14. I actually had to start taking my emergency Xanax today to calm my nerves. Afraid I'll have to take Zquil to sleep during the night. It's SO bizarre. -
