Any sleevers from Dallas?
evanslaura79 replied to healthychoice2014's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everything is going well for me. I am starting to feel a little more hungry than I have in the past three months. It is very manageable though and probably attributed to time of the month. Otherwise I feel great. -
Dr Kim was my surgeon as well. You are going with an expert in the field. I have had zero complications and he has a 0% leakage rate. I love the PA's and my hospital stay was really nice. The staff was fabulous.

@@jaipurple1 Dont panic, I promise you arent done. You are a low starting BMI patient. So am I. We tend to lose at a slower rate than others. Keep sticking to the plan, try not to weigh yourself for a while, and everything will work out fine. -

@@tfowler I'm stalled also. I've moved my scales to my moms house. I can only weigh once every two weeks. I know as long as I journal my food and watch the calories it will fail off eventually. -

You need Pepcid ac to control the acid. Some of the hunger you feel is acid going bonkers in your stomach. It takes a while to tell the difference between those two feelings. -

@@tfowler I actually have a nude in my phone from my last diet attempt. I was trying to shame myself into not cheating. It didnt work out well. I will use that to compare at some point. -
I had this done by Dr. Kim. I'm very happy with my results.

@@tfowler I can relate on the walking. Its so hot after work the last darn thing I want to do is go out and sweat.I have decided I am not going to weigh myself more than once a week. That will keep me from getting discouraged during stalls I am hoping. I am having a weird pain just under my left breast area. It is starting to keep me up at night. If I lay on my left side it abates. I dont know what in the world is causing it if not gas...... I am over protein shakes as well. Unfortunately I will be extending my liquid phase a week due to travel. I figure that isnt an ideal time to start trying to add things in. I am looking forward to mashed potatoes though! -

Glad you are doing well! You might try scooping one scoop of unflavored protein powder and sprinkling just a little of it in your milk throughout the day..... -

I had my surgery the 21st also. You have lost more than I have at this point. It seems to be the common consensus around here that lower BMI = slower weight loss. It will come off, we just have to be a bit more patient with it. Good luck and speedy recovery! -

I also dont have a "full" sign yet. I stay full from all the fluids. I guess when we start puree food we will have a better understanding. I have been sticking to 3-4oz of "meal time" liquid at a time just to be sure. -

I am awaiting my unjury unflavored now. I guess I will be adding it to everything! I have my alarm set to go off every 15 minutes. I am drinking something at that time, either water or protein shake or soup at meal times. Today I am going to start journaling all my intake and see where I land. At the end of the day I feel FULL and tired. Yet my new wake up time has become 530 am. I have never been an early riser. Weird. -

its 3.8 ounces, so four medicine cups. I am going to walmart at lunch. This will save me while I am traveling. Nasty or not I like my hair, and I am afraid of hair loss if I dont get in enough protein. -
