I do not know where all of you stand in the spiritual realm, but I wanted to share this as we look to tomorrow. This is from The Message "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes." Matt. 6:34 Praying for you, friends.

Butt hurts when sitting
Debbie623 replied to jmabry's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am on day 8 of preop diet. I have been having that same problem. I am down about 15 pounds. I wondered what was going on. I guess I am feeling this early maybe because I have a flatter butt? Thanks for the idea about a pillow. -
I am on day 7 of 10 days of the preop diet. I have not gotten past tired and fatigue. I sleep a lot and feel weak when I try to do anything. However, it is all part of my journey. We will all have our own story. Some day we will look back and be glad we hung in there through the tough times. I appreciate all you you who post and reply. You have encouraged me so many times just when I needed it. It is tough. I find that unless someone knows the complete process we go through, they don't really understand how tough it is. What I do know is I can look here, and find others who do understand, who have advice, and will encourage me on my journey. Hang in there. Dream the dream.

protein shakes are giving me the runs
Debbie623 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The Protein shakes are giving me the runs. I called the nutritionist. She suggests cutting the shakes (Bariatric Advantage) to 3 and making them like pudding. She said I might try a Fiber supplement. She said I could use Imodium. The cramping is miserable. Any other ideas for me? She says that this problem might go away. -

My date is June 23. I still have trouble figuring out how to use the forums, but am glad to join you and others for support. You can do this! -
I just had my first preop shake. I have vanilla powder. I tried blending it with Water and ice. It tasted too vanilla and was too foamy. Any ideas of how to make this better? I need to find a way to drink this stuff.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Jesus is the Divine Bariatric Physician. He will never leave us or forsake us. I start my preop diet tomorrow.

Not losing enough on pre-op diet
Debbie623 replied to lauraellen80's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't have any answers from experience. I am scheduled for surgery on June 23. Your body is adjusting to a new food experience. Give it time, and don't worry so much about numbers. They will come. Maybe your shouldn't weigh yourslef as often so you can see more success? I know, that's easy for me to say. Good luck. I am excited to hear how you do! -
