That is awesome to hear. Glad to hear that your pain is minimal. Did you have sleeve or lap band? How are you doing with your diet? Are you on full liquids still? I has the sleeve. I would personally never consider the band... Too high of a failure rate from what I understand. The program requires full liquids for two weeks post op. Then can move up to thicker, pudding consistency type fluids for another week. Then to soft foods like grounds meats. Full regular diet including eating nuts doesn't come until after 8 weeks post op.

I am doing very well. I have been controlling the pain with just Tylenol for the last two days. I hate the percocets anyway. No complications. No surprises. My lap sites are starting to get itchy...lol. Overall a very positive experience.

I was sleeved on 6/30. I have been managing my pain with Tylenol for the last couple of days. Without a doubt the left lateral site is my sorest site also but nothing like what you are describing. -
Any July 14th sleevers? What tips do you have for me? :)

Walk ASAP post op. Very very important. Don't be too anxious. I am 7 days post op. No complications. I have been controlling the pain... actually just some soreness.. With OTC Tylenol for the last two days. No need for the Percocet. I was NPO for first 24 hrs post op. Day 2 I was allowed to sip 30cc (1 ounce) of H2O hourly. Day 3 went home on clear liquids only. Day 4 started full liquids. It is very important to find a Hi protein drink you like. You should try to get 70gr protein in daily but remember you will only be able to handle 4-6 ounces at a time. So pick a drink with really high protein. Ensure Active Hi Protein has 25gr per 14 ounces. Premiere has 30gr per 11 ounces. You will want to get 64 oz of fluids in also per day. So you will be sipping all the day long. Good luck. -
I live in Columbus. Dr. Sonnanstine at Riverside did my surgery a week ago 6/30/14.

Worried because I haven't found a protein shake yet.

I am 7 days post op. I have tried the premiere chocolate. It's ok. But I like the taste of the Ensure Active Hi Protein Milk Chocolate. Premiere has 30gr protein in 11 oz and the Ensure has 25gr in 14 oz. You need to get in 75gr of protein daily so take that into consideration because you can only consume small amounts 4-6 oz.
