    Looking for July Sleevers!

My understanding is to try and get 3oz water I n each hour . When you do sips of protein shakes or jello do as much as is comfortable in a half hour period. With a goal of 40-60 grams in a day.

    Looking for July Sleevers!

Hi I am now A full 5 days out, I still have a headache. But feel stronger each day. I am experiencing IBS as Drs took me off my meds for that. Now am back on that but still having symptoms. I found that spot where you know you can't really have more. It a note to self. Warm clear soups press that spot earlier. I have also learned that water still goes down easier if it's in crushed ice.. Slow and melting. Drinking water at 4 AM and laying back down? Not the best idea.Because of the constant IBS I have lost 16 pounds in 5 days... Does that seem right to you?

    Looking for July Sleevers!

Sboulie, I am suprised you are not being given protein. Did you the dr who is in charge of your after care? Broth is great but protein is best. I bought crystal light (sugar free of course) and I found out that my hospital is using pro source which is liquid whey protein, and they add it to the crystal light. I can't tolerate the taste of isopure so am going with this alternative. I would definatly ask the dr about the protein. Good luck... Hope it gets easier.
  6. Hi Deedee, I have about 150 pounds to lose and my surgery is Monday, I am scared nervous excited and happy all at the same time. I have lots of support from phone tele support groups to support groups led by my surgeons office. I have a friend who lives close by who is one month out, I have another friend who is scheduled for surgery two weeks after me. The process is exhausting and exciting at the same time. I think the most encouraging thing My dr has said is that I will be someone's inspiration a year from now, how awesome is that? And that's what you are. thank you for sharing your journey! No ones struggle is without bumps in the road but it's awesome, it's courageous and it's inspiring. I have been perusing the forums all evening, and your story touches me deeply. We are all proud of you. You can do the rest of the journey. Thanks for your honesty and your trust that you have in us as well. we can so this!!!!

M4buf I think I might be stealing fries too if my son threw my iPhone and broke it. You can do this, we are in this together. I don't have a 10 day liquid diet, just one day liquids. Don't beat yourself up. The best decision you can make has already been made. This is not the easy way out, it's hard and we will work hard at it to go where we could not go before. The liquid diet is supposed to give your liver a cleanse and a break from the work it has to do, so any help you can give it will be appreciated. Hang in there, and get a new phone GF!

    Sleep apnea and sleeve surgery?

The settings on the CPap in the hospital will be set to different calibrations, unless your dr conveys that information to the hospital staff. You might want to ask.

    Looking for July Sleevers!

Hello Fearnot , my surgery date is also July 14th. I have been lurking reading all the threads but felt I should comment and get into the middle of things as there are only 6 days and 1 hour left now. Glad you have shared your story so far. Can't wait to get this done and begin eating for life instead of living for eating.
