Hi, I had LapBand 4/2007. I have lost 60 lbs, with 30 more to go. I self paid. (At that time my insurance didn't cover the procedure) I have had some stressful events happen (starting in 2010, anaphylactic reactions to antibiotics and in the heart unit ICU and then diagnosed with a lung disease and home on oxygen for 6 months) and by 2011 I had my band completely un-filled. I haven't had a fill since and with any stress my band tightens so tight I cant eat and can barely drink water, happening 2-3 times per week, not to mention the pain. It controls/ruins my day(s) and/or any chance of vacationing and such. I am seriously considering having it removed now, which gives me more stress! (I don't want to gain any weight back :(
I read the forums and everyone else is so successful and it works for them and that gives me more stress....
I'm happy that it works for others. I just need to figure out how to move forward and not be held a captive any longer.
