ebutlerstewart started following I dont know what "full" is, Vitamins, Sleeve or bypass and and 4 others
-
I'm taking a bariatric chewable multi that has calcium citrate and iron. I also take a b12 everyday, vitamin D once a week and biotin when i remember.

I chose the sleeve because I did not want weight loss that was too drastic or sudden, for me. I was 230# I've lost 20lbs since I had my sleeve done on 6/23/14 and my goal is 150lbs. Losing 80lbs is a good bit but I suffer from pressure inside my skull and so I am looking for relief from my symptoms more than a dramatic transformation.

Insure Nutrition

I've had nothing but good experience with them however I am not enjoying their shakes as much! The savings is nice though. I am considering going back to GNC total lean protein shakes since they're so much tastier. -
When did you start purees
ebutlerstewart replied to Girly24's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was on liquids for 2 weeks, I'm supposed to be on purees, tunas, scrambled eggs, applesauces and yogurts but I am including soft foods into my diet like fruit cups. I'm 4 weeks post op. I just made turkey chilli and haven't had any problems with anything I have eaten. -

I absolutely love GNC total lean protein shakes. I almost want to stock up again. I just got insure nutrition and the savings are huge but I miss the GNC. -

I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today and within the first 10 days I had already lost 13lbs. So I know my sleeve is working, however as I am feeling much more back to myself I am realizing I don't know what full feels like to me. Occaisionally I have had something to drink or a bite of something that felt too thick to barely make it down my throat and it creaps down slowly but I basically sip enough during the day of soup or liquids, just until I don't feel the gurgly hungry feeling. I don't feel hungry that often but I read stories of people eating 2 bites and feeling stuffed and I just hope I develop that. I don't get dumping or nausea so I can't rely on those to tell me I've had enough. Maybe because I don't have set "meals" or measure my intake for instance? I don't want to stretch out my stomach of course! I have to admit I've even cheated a few times on things I've consumed; so I'm feeling super guilty also. Blah!

Protein Supplements, what's good, whats bad?

For $17/mo my insurance is covering protein shakes 4 cases (18each case) and chewable vitamins. My surgery office told me to go to insurenutrition.com and apply. They sent prescription info to my surgeons office, faxed back and my first shipment arrives on the 10th!
