    Spouses... jealousy

That isn't healthy, for either of you. If he is unwilling to seek couple's counseling, then go on your own.

    Odd Jittery Feeling..

What kind of fish? I found that the sauce on one of the gorton's grilled fish selections was too greasy and made me a bit woozy.
  3. I didn't but I have read plent of posts from folks who did. Just let them Know when you check in, the nurses can provide you with a pad and granny panties (or at least so I've heard!).

When do we stop focusing on food?

Why are you trying not to go over 600 calories? Are you getting in all of your protein and fluids?

Having second thoughts 2 weeks out

It is very common to have pre-op anxiety and jitters. For me, it came down to me having a chance to live or choosing death sooner rather than later if I didn't have surgery, If you haven't already done so, sit down and make a list of all the positives and negatives for having surgery and for not having surgery. For me, the pre-op uncertainty was the worst part of the entire experience. The actual surgery, recover, and my experience over the last year has been great. I am a little over half way to goal and my life is already completely different. Best of luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.

    Need prayers please.

You may not get any ready answers soon as he may not know why, either.

Am I losing enough weight post-op?

It's not a race. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience periodic stalls and slow downs. Almost everyone experiences a stall about three weeks after surgery. Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids, take your Vitamins and supplements as directed, exercise when cleared, stay off the scale. And, Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    unexplainable weight gain

Have you had a lot of sodium or noticed any swelling? If you were a woman I would assume water retention, since you are a man that may not be the right answer. Definitely talk to your surgeon about it when you follow up. In the meantime, try upping both your water and your protein a bit.

    Ugh annoyed

Fair or not, more goes into scheduling surgery than your preference. Just have faith that it is happening when it's supposed to happen. Congratulations on the weight loss by the way!

    Food label help

1/2 a serving/portion should be ok, at least based on my Program. You could divide it up over a couple of meals.

    Eating out

When I was on soft foods, I ate soft fish: grilled salmon at a cookout was the first. Not much later, I had shrimp and scallops at a hibachi restaurant. You can find soft foods at restaurants, especially nicer restaurants.

    Not losing am I done

My guess is that if you increase your water/fluid to at least 64 oz and start tracking your food to make sure you are getting in enough protein you may start losing again. What is your protein target? How do you know whether or not you are reaching it if you don't track your food?

    Jello bites

No, I have never had those gel Bites. I did eat sugar free jello. No, I didn't drink vitamin water zero. No, I didn't use unflavored protein but was prepared to. But, I was getting enough protein through other means.

    Not losing am I done

I don't know. You didn't provide any context or details. What was your starting weight? Current weight? What is your goal weight? What does your food look like? Are you tracking your food? Are you getting in all of your Protein? Are you getting at least 64 oz of Fluid every day? Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements as directed? Are you avoiding starches, added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), and fried foods? Are you exercising? Have you talked to your NUT about your concerns? Hey, Young Adult Who Needs Advice

Welcome. I was fortunate in that my PCP referred me to an outstanding surgeon at a Bariatric Center of Excellence. I highly recommend that you put together a notebook (if your surgeon's office doesn't give you one), to keep up with all of the paperwork, educational information, and appointments. Write everything down!

  20. Welcome back! You can get lots of support on this site. Congratulations on recognizing you need help. Have you made an appointment with your NUT to talk about your challenges and goals? Do you have a therapist? Have you attended any support group meetings? If not, I would suggest you get on the phone tomorrow and start making some appointments. In the meantime, go back to basics: Follow your program. Track your food. Make sure you are getting at least 64 oz of Fluid, every day. What is your Protein target? Eat protein first and make sure you are reaching your protein target daily. Avoid starches, added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), and fried foods. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. Exercise. And, Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    Pay day - buying staples

I agree. Stick to sample packets of things early out. Don't buy a case or tub of anything until you know you can eat it post-op. I am over a year out and I am still working through a stash of things pre-op. (Some things have expiration dates so you need to be careful.)

    Fat grams?

I wasn't told to limit fats on my pre-op diet. Just starches and carbs.
