I liked: Premier Protein GNC Lean 25 (orange cream is my favorite) ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates ProtiDiet creamy chicken and tomato basil Soups WonderSlim dark chocolate pudding Syntrax nectar It didn't have a schedule as I pretty much sipped something all the time early out in order to get in my 100 grams of protein and fluids. The only thing I used to mix my protein shakes/soups/puddings was Water.

My reward will be the spa ;-)
Inner Surfer Girl replied to The New Kel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't wait! One of my favorite rewards is getting a massage. The massage therapist periodically puts gift certificates on sale so I usually buy them then. Getting a massage is one of my very favorite things in life. At the very least treat yourself to a good manicure. -
DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!
Inner Surfer Girl replied to pensanefloetry's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Having a 3-year old at home would be a major reason to NOT have surgery at the same time. Right after surgery, even with no complications, you won't be able to lift a child and your activity will be somewhat limited. I echo the suggestion for couples counseling and/or solo counseling. -
Is it common to not lose in 3rd week?
Inner Surfer Girl replied to connorsmama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. Everyone experiences stalls and just about everyone stalls three weeks after surgery. Just follow your program, focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids, take your Vitamins and supplements as directed, stay off the scale, and Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall. -
DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!
Inner Surfer Girl replied to pensanefloetry's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am a big believer in that everything happens for a reason. There are benefits and drawbacks to both partners having surgery on the same day. If it doesn't work out that you both are scheduled together that may mean it will work out better to do it separately. Personally, I think it is important that even with your fears, that you go into surgery confident that it is the right decision for you regardless of what the other partner decides. Best of luck with both of your surgeries. -
Baby Step Suggestions?
Inner Surfer Girl replied to clevergirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did several things pre-o that helped, including: Weaning myself off of carbonation. Weaning myself off of caffeine. Tracking my food. Practicing mindful eating. Reading, a lot. Participating in BariatricPal. Choosing one small thing to focus on at a time is a great strategy. -

Experienced Sleevers please help! Any side Effects from getting the VSG?
Inner Surfer Girl replied to GOM123's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Initially post-op: some gas pain and constipation. Since then, nothing I can think of except a little bit of compulsive shopping because : 1) I am no longer housebound and 2) I can fit in clothes off the rack now. -
Water Intake

Yes, I count all non-caffeinated fluid towards my fluid total. But, some programs do not, so pay attention to your program recommendations. -

PS, I went and looked at your posts. You have posted three threads and appear to have responses on all of them. -

Inner Surfer Girl replied to RosieR's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Frankly, this is the first time I think I have seen your name. I don't read every thread so it really may depend on when and where you post your threads, how clear your topic titles are, and whether I think I have anything to contribute whether or not I read or respond to a topic. All I can suggest is that you be patient and keep participating. The whole WLS process takes a great deal of patience, polite persistence, and perseverance. This is a great place to start practicing those things. Best of luck with your surgery. -

Stalls/workouts
Inner Surfer Girl replied to Stephanie M.'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you have lost 7 pounds you aren't experiencing a stall. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience stalls and slow downs and just about everyone experiences a stall about three WLS after surgery. Just follow your program, make sure you are agreeing in all of your Protein and fluids, take your Vitamins and supplements as directed, make sure you are eating enough to support your exercise level, stay off the scale, and Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall. -
Do any of you vets completely ignore this rule?

No, I haven't had any carbonation. -
How do you get out of a stall?
Inner Surfer Girl replied to ZoeGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How are you doing at getting in all of your Protein and fluids? What are you eating? Are you exercising? Are you following your program? Without more information it is really hard to know if you are experiencing a normal stall or what. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall -

Questions....
Inner Surfer Girl replied to imightknow's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for your response. I moved away from my hometown when I was 20. So I haven't seen most of my friends or family in up to 7 years. Back then I weighed about 190. I don't really post body pics or selfies on social media, so they haven't seen that I've gained more weight. but the last time I did post a body pic, I was about 180. And that was a few years ago. So, I think they might find exercising believable. The nutritionist told me yesterday that I would never be able to eat asparagus again. It was surprising. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Why no asparagus? I eat asparagus all the time. -
What new this shows are you watching this year? I am loving BETTER THINGS and ATLANTA on FX. QUEEN SUGAR is pretty good. Of course, POLDARK on PBS is back! Any suggestions?

You haven't had time for a stall! You are still recovering from major surgery, are swollen, and may still be full of fluids. Just follow your program, focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids, and stay off the scale! Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

The early shows followed a much longer time span, but the latest episodes seem to be more current so less time. They do go back and revisit some of the people in the Where Are They Now episodes. I find that depending on where I am on my journey I get different things every time I watch. Definitely go back and watch some of the older episodes. It has been interesting seeing Sr. Now's treatment evolve. He is finally on board with Protein and does more sleeves than he used to.

Heating Pads ?
Inner Surfer Girl replied to BariatricGal's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I forgot to take one to the hospital and wound up sending my sister to a drug store to buy one. I used mine 1) on my shoulder due to gas pain and 2) because I was freezing. -

Inner Surfer Girl replied to ella37's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree. It's ok to express your feelings and emotions. Just see if you can do it in healthy ways. What you are going through now is the primary reason I weaned myself off of caffeine pre-op. You can do it!
