    Weight loss has stopped...getting worried

I don't know what posts you are reading, but I would hazard a guess that a large majority are about stalls. Otherwise, your surgeon is absolutely right. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    Eggs?

Are you cleared for soft foods or still on full liquids? If you are on soft foods you can try it. Just keep in mind that some people have difficulty with eggs early out

Well, hey there Six Month Stall

Congratulations on the weight loss! You can get there. I know it is discouraging, but stalls really are part of the process. Make sure you rest and take care of yourself, especially since you are ill. Staying hydrated is even more critical when we are sick. Have you talked to your NUT about your concerns. Six months is a great time to revisit your program and go back to basics. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    Not getting enough calories

What are you eating? A good way to up your calories is to add melted cheese to everything! If you are getting in your protein, then try adding some good fats -- avocado, Peanut Butter, etc. You could eat some complex carbs, like oatmeal. What does your NUT suggest?
  5. For intermediate milestones I schedule massages. For bigger milestones, a mani-pedi. I also have been treating myself to Blenko or other blown glass pieces (just because I love it). For my biggest goal I plan to learn to surf. As I go along, I am doing more activities as I am able. Last weekend, I took a road trip to another state to take a two-day class. There is NO WAY I could have done that a year (200 pounds) or even 100 pounds ago. At the end of this month I am attending a week-long writing workshop. A year ago I wouldn't have been able to complete the application let alone plan to attend. Another milestone is that I am preparing to start job hunting again. I have been on disability and returning to the workforce is major.

    2 week stall-sleeved 6/7/16

Everyone who is further than a couple of months out has survived one or two stalls. You will, too. Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. We all experience stalls and just about everyone experiences a stall about three weeks after surgery. Just follow your program. Track your food. Make sure you get at least 64 oz of Fluid. Make sure you reach your Protein target every day. For me, that is 100 grams a day. Avoid added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), starches, and fried foods. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. Exercise when cleared. Stay off the scale. Early out I only weighed at doctors appointments. Realistic Goals

I put down 150 because it sounded good and my surgeon was fine wit it. When I mentioned a goal weight to my PCP he said he would be thrilled with 200. I consider my "goal weight" a pretty arbitrary number for now. Ask me again when I get closer.

    Not losing, confused and frustrated

Actually my surgeon's minimum for men and anyone with a high BMI is 100 grams and 80 grams for everyone else. 40 or even 60 grams is extremely low.

Loosing from all the wrong places

Give it time. I know my fat tends to rebalance and shift around. One of the many things that happens during stalls.

    Help me!

What have you tried? Have you tried Isopure? ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates? Syntrax nectar? or other clear, light, fruity Protein supplements? Have you tried premier? GNC lean shake 25? Bone broth? Have you tried different temperatures?

    Stall

It is hard to remember sometimes that we were all new once.
  15. For me, I have truly come to see obesity as a disease. Especially in that it is not a moral failing or a defect of character. It is a physical disease.
  16. I am so sorry that you and your mom are having to go through this but I am so glad to hear that you aren't letting it overwhelm you and sabotage your eating. It really sounds like your mom is very lucky to have your presence and capability. Being as healthy as possible will benefit both of you in this extremely stressful time. I am definitely sending good thoughts and prayers your way. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

    Horrible Pouch Pain

This doesn't sound good. I agree with everything @@Bufflehead said. Call your surgeon and/or your PCP, now.

    Feeling weak and dizzy

Yes. You need to do everything you can to get in your fluids and Protein. Don't hesitate to call your surgeon if you have ANY questions, especially if something doesn't feel right. I know mine gave me a 24-hour phone number to use. I'd much rather call with a simple question than wind up in the ER. Yes. You need to do everything you can to get in your fluids and protein. SO HUNGRY!

You have got to get in your fluids and protein. Have you tried different temperatures, different infusions (herbs, crystal light, tea, etc.), for your fluids?
  23. Inner Surfer Girl

Increasing to 90 grams of Protein?! WTH!

Congratulations on the weight loss. My goal has been 100 grams since day one. It was hard but doable right after surgery. As far out as you are now it should be fairly easy with some planning. Keep in mind that you will need to divide it up and have no more than 25-30 grams at a time. 3 Premier Protein shakes = 90 grams. You could have 3 meals of 20-25 grams of protein and 1 Protein shake and one or 2 small protein Snacks. You could have 4-5 small protein-rich meals of about 20 grams of protein. Just make sure you record your food and plan and it is pretty easy to do.

    Stuck

None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. Everyone experiences periodic stalls and slow downs and just about everyone experiences a stall about three weeks after surgery. Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. Avoid starches, added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), and fried foods. Exercise when cleared. Stay off the scale. And, Embrace the Stall! Goal Setting

I just picked a number than sounded good and reasonable that was in the healthy range. My surgeon was fine with that. I fully intend to revisit an actual goal when I get much closer than I am now.
