I'll try to be brief....I just need to vent

I agree. It costs more to eat healthy if you are still buying junk, too. I am saving money just on breaking the Diet Coke habit alone.

    Not losing weight

Wow, 40 grams of protein and 300 grams carbs is way out of whack. You have got to increase your protein: it is critical for healing and weight loss. Your carbs need to come after you are reaching your protein target. You can live for a while without carbs, not protein.
  3. I eat bananas. Yes, they are relatively high in sugar and carbs but they are also nutritious. Stick to a small banana (or half of a larger banana) if you are overly concerned about carbs. Just make sure you eat it with Protein and track it.

    Post op complications

I am so sorry to hear about your difficulties. You are in my prayers. Can your surgeon's office prescribe a visiting nurse or someone to check on you? Can you let a local church know that you are isolated so that at least someone can stop by occasionally to make sure you are ok? I hate that you are so isolated and have to go through this alone. Where are you located?

Is it normal to stall after 2 weeks?

Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. Everyone stalls and just about everyone experiences a stall about three weeks after surgery (give or take a few days). Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your fluids and Protein. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. Exercise when cleared. And, Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall.

    Not losing weight

Without knowing what you are doing it is hard to offer suggestions. What food phase are you on? Are you tracking your food? Are you drinking at least 64 oz of Fluid a day? What is your Protein target? Are you eating at least that much every day? Are you eating enough? Are you eating mindfully: taking small bites, chewing thoroughly, and eating slowly? Are you avoiding starches, added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup) and fried foods? Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements as directed? Are you exercising? Have you talked to your NUT about your concerns? Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    Despicable thoughts

Just one reason I will NEVER give Lululemon a penny no matter what my size. Everything I have ever heard about that company is repulsive.
  17. Yes, plain water was the hardest thing for me to drink for a while. Try decaf tea, Herb tea, crystal light, etc. Also, try different temperatures. It was easier to sip room temperature for a while, too. It gets better. Just keep sipping.

Having trouble on soft protein stage

Thank you! I have been doing several of those...but then I saw how many carbs are in beans and they kill my daily allowance. Beans have Fiber. There is a huge difference between processed/refined carbs/sugar and complex carbs.

Need advice - luncheon Sunday - What do I do?

Can you call ahead and find out what is being served? Is it at someone's home? Church? A restaurant? You can always take a Protein shake or yogurt in case they don't have anything you can eat. At three weeks I was on soft foods so it is possible that there will be something you can eat. If you call ahead and ask it will be easier to plan.
  20. I was sleeved April 20, 2015 and have not experienced either one. I was prescribed Actigall and a PPI immediately post-op but haven't taken either for a very long time.

Why im not going thru with surgery

Thank you so much for that! My biggest issue is that this has forever been my biggest demon i feel that getting the surgery will cheat me of that experience of doing it on my own and i fear going thru life unfufilled. I would consider myself Somewhat of a plus size athlete lol i love the gym i love being active i have always dreamed of being a runner. Im also afraid that i wont break my food addiction and will seriously hurt myself if i go thru with this. I told my Dr i would let him know my final answer in a week. Little tia Whether you decide to have surgery now, later, or never, that doesn't mean you can't use other support resources to help you with your food addiction. If you don't have one already, see if you can find a good therapist who works with bariatric patients. You may also want to attend some Overeaters Anonymous meetings. You can find meeting lists, podcasts, and other resources online at OA.org. There are also many excellent books. When Food is Love by Geneen Roth and Eat It Up! by Connie Stapleton are both good. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

    Nutrition facts

I choose low fat meats and dairy (sometimes) but don't necessarily limit fats, especially good fats.

    Calorie goal?

Can't, or won't? You should be able to drink 2 premier Proteins by now. It may take all day, but you can do it.

    Catheter?

    No, I didn't have one.

Need advice ( off topic )

Thank you I'm thinking of sending him a video message telling him that I can't do it anymore is that a bad idea ? I don't know how to do this I've never broken up with anyone before Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Personally, I think in-person is better. If he doesn't call or return your messages, then quit calling and texting him. IF HE reaches out to YOU then you can tell him it is not working for you. In the meantime, you need to start building your own life: volunteer, take a class, go to church, go to the gym, take up a hobby. You need to make some friends so you aren't sitting around waiting on this bozo. You aren't living together are you?
