    Liquid protein

I didn't have a set amount. But, if setting short term goals helps you get it all in then that can be a good strategy.

    Getting pretty nervous..any advice?

Being nervous is very understandable and very common. The pre-op anxiety and uncertainty was the worst part of the whole process for me. The best advice I can give you is to do everything your team asks you to do, even if you think you can't. Be committed to try. Getting up and walking right after surgery will help you feel better sooner. And, sip, sip, sip. Getting in all of your Fluid and Protein will help you heal and lose weight.

    Liquid protein

Yes, I had to sip on fluids all day early out.

    A letter to yourself...

    Sounds like a great idea.

    Protein Ideas

Try other liquid sources of protein if you don't like premier like: bone broth, ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates, Syntrax nectar, Isopure, etc.
  6. Liquids will pass right through you. Some people have difficulty with fluids early out due to swelling, but if you are lucky enough to be able to drink easily I don't think there is anything at all to be worried about.

Fatigue 4 Months Out & Arms Look Like Olive Oyl

I am so sorry you aren't feeling well. Yes, it does sound like you answered your own question. Have you talked to your NUT and your surgeon about your concerns. Starting right now, it sounds like you need to do everything possible to get in all of your Fluid and Protein and take your Vitamins and supplements. Just doing those things should really help you feel better, regain your energy, and lose weight. Once you are able to up your fluid and protein, exercise should help, too.

    Alcohol Addiction

Thank you for your honesty and sharing. As others have said, you do not need to do this alone. AA, a counselor or therapist, your physician, and recovering alcoholics can all be a tremendous help. You do not have to face it alone.

What’s the Most Awkward Part of WLS?

LOL! Why does that only seem to happen at Walmart?

    Shoulder Pain after rapid weightloss

    What does your doctor say?
  12. Just keep sipping. Try different temperatures and textures. For a long while plain Water was the hardest thing for me to drink. Try infused water, water enhancers, decaf tea, sugar-free Popsicles, crushed ice, etc. Try ice cold, room temperature, warm (like tea or soup). Just keep at it and make short-term goals. If you wait until you are hungry or thirsty you will never get it all in. Sip, sip, sip.

    How long to lose weight?

Almost everyone experiences a stall about three weeks after surgery. Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    What kind of evil monster...

Nutter Butters used to be the highlight of my giving blood.
  15. You can add protein powder to soups just watch the temperatures. Some protein powders curdle if they get too hot.

    :3 help pls

Stay hydrated, get enough Protein, eat nutritious food, take your Vitamins and supplements, and be patient and give it time. One thing I have noticed is that my skin tends to tighten up during stalls. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    Waking up after surgery

I had oxygen. I had a little trouble getting my breath and some coughing. Nothing major.

    Pre-op Vitamins regimen

    I took a multi, D3, and iron.

    Stalling early after surgery?

Troy, I assume that you are a guy? Your NUT's Protein target seems really, really low, especially for a guy. My protein target is 100 grams a day and that was from day one. I credit getting in enough protein with the ease of my recovery and initial weight loss. According to my surgeon both protein and fluids are critical for both healing and weight loss.

    Pain after surgery

I didn't experience any real pain but did have some discomfort (mostly a sore/scratchy throat and some shoulder pain from the gas). Just follow your post-op instructions, walk, and rest.

    Steristrip removal

My incisions were superglued and I was instructed not to touch them or rub them. They fell off naturally after about three weeks. I am not familiar with steristrips. Were you given written post-op instructions about them? If not, I would give your surgeon's office a call before doing anything.

    Post op hunger

First, welcome to the sleeved life. You mention you are on Clear liquids. How are you doing at getting in your Protein? You might actually be hungry. How are you doing at getting in your fluids? You might be thirsty. Are you taking a PPI? You might have stomach acid which can mimic hunger. When I was at your stage I didn't really have a chance to get hungry because I was sipping something all day. If you want something to chew, try sugar-free Popsicles and/or crushed ice.

    Getting back on track

Congratulations on the weight loss. @@Cervidae has given you some great advice. I would also recommend you make an appointment with your NUT to talk about your goals.
