  1. So what. I presume that he is an ex for a reason. Sounds like you need to find a better class of friends.

    Two week post op food

I was allowed clear protein (Isopure, ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates) and premier Protein Shakes the first week. I was allowed other, thicker, protein shakes on week 2 for full liquids. I was allowed sugar-free jello in the hospital.
  3. What do you mean that you have to exercise continuously every day to lose weight? You are only a few weeks post-op. You are still healing from major surgery. What kind of exercise are you doing "continuously every day?" Are you following your post-op program? Tracking your food? Getting at least 64 oz of Fluid a day? Reaching your Protein target every day? What is your protein target? Avoiding starches, added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), and fried foods? Taking your Vitamins and supplements as directed? Practicing mindful eating? Exercising sensibly? I have seen a couple of posts where you claim that WLS does not work but you don't provide any details about what you are and are not doing. It is hard to help and offer any helpful suggestions without more information. What does your surgeon and/or NUT say about your progress so far? If you are open to suggestions, you may want to take lip balm.

    I'm so frustrated!

You mention calories (without specifics) but not protein. The most important numbers are fluids and protein. What is your protein target? Are you consuming at least that amount of protein every day? Are you getting AT LEAST 64 oz of Fluid every day? Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. We all experience stalls. If you intend to lose a significant amount of weight then you need to be prepared to experience stalls. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall Thank you surfer girl, I am getting in between 60-80 grams of protein and at least 64-70 oz of water/fluids I exercise at least 3 times a week... What is your protein target? 60 or 80 grams? I would suggest trying to get at least 80 grams every day.

    Hypnotherapy?

I haven't but, I would think a good behavioral therapist who works with bariatric patients would be much more valuable and helpful than hypnotherapy.

    Gain weight.

What to do? Stop panicking! Take a deep breath and assess what you are doing. Are you tracking your food? Are you reaching your Protein target? Are you getting in enough protein? Are you getting your fluids? Are you avoiding added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), starches, and fried foods? Are you avoiding packaged, processed, high sodium foods? Are you practicing mindful eating? Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements as directed? Are you exercising? Have you talked with your NUT lately? What does he or she suggest? 800 calories ? IS IT ENOUGH?

You definitely need much more water, especially if you are exercising and constipated. 64 oz should be a bare minimum.

    Pre-Op diet help

It really depends on your surgeon's requirements. Mine was high protein, no starches or sugars, and low carb.

    In take

Try the ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates over crushed ice. I used them a lot, especially during my clear phase, to get in my Protein.

    Dealing with Rejection

Good riddance to bad rubbish. How do you move on and date? In my opinion, very carefully and very slowly. It sounds like you need to grieve and recover from your marriage before jumping back into the dating world. Do you have a good therapist? Have you considered attending a 12 step recovery group like Overeaters Anonymous? Are you attending bariatric support group meetings? Take the time to get to know yourself, recover and heal (physically and emotionally), learn how strong and resilient you are, and focus on health and wellness. Another relationship can wait until you are steady in your own feet.

    Cheese itz?

"They don't have any protein." You should check your facts...3g protein. 3 grams protein to 150 calories is a lousy protein to calorie ratio ratio. 35 servings is 100 grams of protein. 35 x 150 = 5250 calories. I stand by my statement.
  19. Inner Surfer Girl

    In take

You need AT LEAST 64 oz of Fluid and to reach your protein target every day. My protein target is 100 grams. I can count all (non carbonated, non caffeinated) fluids toward my daily goal. So, in your case the milk would count toward both your protein and fluid goals. But, it doesn't sound like you are getting nearly enough of each. Why type of post-op nutrition guidance were you given?

    Emotional eating

Therapy. Support Groups. Going back to basics. Make an appointment with your NUT. Overeaters Anonymous. Track your food and focus on protein and fluids.

Celebrating the slow journey. Stupid Stall

Probably. Getting enough protein is critical for healing and for weight loss. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    Cheese itz?

They don't have any Protein. You should be doing everything you can to get in your protein. I am guessing if you are only eating 300 calories you aren't yet reaching your protein target.
  23. The only issue that relates to your concern that I noticed immediately post-op was a bit of mental fuzziness. Probably due to recovering from surgery, anesthesia, and really low carbs.

Im sure youve all read this a thousand times

Thanks for your response! At this point, 2 years out...I am not even sure what my caloric intake should be and how it should be broken out in terms of how much protein to consume etc...any advice on this? Sent from my SM-G925W8 using the BariatricPal App My advice? Make an appointment with your NUT to talk about your specific needs.
