    Where to purchase sample protein?

Hi CHMD,Where might I find the Blender Bottles, you spoke of? Thanks! I think I've seen some on Zulilly lately. Send me a PM with your email if you want a coupon. I've gotten Blender bottles from drugstore.com and bariatric pal, too. You can also get them at places like GNC. Even my wellness center has them for sale.

    Can't stop losing weight...

You can eat starches in moderation if you are in the maintenance phase or even need to gain weight. I am so glad you are seeing a therapist. Just keep trying to see if there is something you can tolerate. Do you think it was the Pasta or the sauce that didn't sit well with you?

Warning - Pity Party for 1....

This is a great place to vent. Try punching out your pillow, too. Expressing your anger and frustration in healthy ways is a great step in the right direction. Eating over it won't help a thing.
  4. I made the decision early out not to share numbers. So, I just tell people I decided not to share numbers. If they press, I just say "a lot" and leave it at that,
  5. I agree with others. There is NOTHING nutritious or healthy about diet soda. I was one of those people who was so addicted that I thought it might be possible that not being able to kick the habit would keep me from being able to have surgery. Once I slowly and successfully weaned myself off of all carbonated drinks before surgery I made up my mind that this is one habit I will never have again. Please do what you can to follow your program for your own benefit. Frankly, if you choose to drink soda it is your decision, but I hate to see anyone miserable due to some lousy, over priced carbonated Water.

    What can I do?

It sounds like you are doing fine, but if you are unhappy about your progress you might want to consider trying a few things. Tracking your food is critical of you want to make sure you are reaching your nutritional goals. Are you reaching your Protein target every day? You say you don't like to drink water. Are you drinking at least 64 oz of Fluid every day? Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements as instructed? Are you exercising. I have found that focusing on these basic requirements has made following my program pretty easy. Also, you might want to consider checking in with your NUT to talk about your goals. Loose skin on arms

I've already transitioned to the regular-sized blood pressure cuff. Some extra skin on my arms is well worth getting my life back.

    Loose skin on arms

And you are probably the only person who notices! You look great!

    Embrace the Stall

I am not there yet, but I have observed that stalls may lengthen and become more frequent the closer people get closer to goal. It makes sense as our bodies seek an equilibrium point.

    Surgery is today!

Best of luck to all of you!
  11. Let me also suggest that if you are bored, focus on what you can have. You could try a new herb tea or Water Enhancer flavor. You could try a new Protein Shake or Protein shake recipe. You could also do something completely unrelated to food: take a walk, talk to a friend, write in your journal, make a craft, do needlework (I recently started knitting and crochetting again -- it keeps my hands busy), etc. For me, learning how to deal with food cravings when I am bored was a big challenge.

    Chest pain after eating...

Are you weighing/measuring your portions. I don't feel "full" with the sleeve like you may be used to. I go from satisfied to one bite too many. As others have suggested: watch your portion size, eat slowly, take small bites, and chew thoroughly. You'll get the hang of it.

    Pickles

I may have had Kalamata olives during my soft phase but certainly started pickles and olives with regular food, too. I just bought a new jar of Maille cornichons and a new jar of capers. I LOVE pickles.

    Oh my..

    Congratulations!
  15. I would say stick with the program as prescribed. Just because you are bored doesn't mean your internal incisions are healed. I would never arbitrarily decide to deviate from my surgeon's orders. I would always consult with my surgeon before making any changes. If you have any questions about your program then call your bariatric team. That is what they are there for. No phase of the post-op diet is forever. It is designed to help you heal and recover safely. Please be patient.

    Greeting from a "Newbie"

Welcome to this site and best of luck with your surgeries. As the OP has noted, the gas pain can be uncomfortable. Walking helps. I also used a heating pad. It does get better.

    Stalled for two years

I am so sorry you feel so discouraged. Losing 130 pounds is a tremendous success. What should you do if you aren't happy with where you are? You took the first step by asking for help. I would suggest that you make an appointment with your NUT and your PCP. Talk with your NUT about your goals related to weight loss and talk to your PCP about your physical issues and get some current blood work. You may also want to talk with your PCP about how discouraged you feel. You may be depressed. If you know you are low on D are you taking a Vitamin D supplement? I have been taking extra D3 since I began considering surgery. In the meantime, go back to basics. Follow your program. Make sure you are getting in all of your Protein and fluids every day. Take all of your Vitamins and supplements as directed. And, exercise. Walking is great. Also consider finding something fun to do that is active that you can enjoy doing, You have been successful before. You have the tools to continue until you reach your goals. Keep us posted on how you are doing. Embrace the Stall! http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

    gaining back weight

Do you have a counselor or therapist? This sounds like something you might want to seek some professional help to address. You also might want to see of you can find a bariatric support group or a recovery group like OA. I recently read a good book (Eat it Up!) that was written by a therapist who works with weight loss surgery patients. You might find it helpful.

    Awesome!

Help me stock my fridge for pre op !

Also, don't forget herbs and spices. Your food doesn't have to be tasteless. Also, decaf tea, Herb infusions, and Water enhancers are very helpful.

    A little help please

I like it. Since everyone's tastes are different, especially after surgery, you might want to get some individual packets before you I eat in a big tub. I also like the ProtiDiet creamy chicken and tomato basil soups.

    Water?!?

That is great to hear! That limit sounded more like a minimum than a maximum to me.

    Vitamin B1 deficiency

Try the Bariatric Advantage calcium chews. They taste great. I like the caramel, chocolate, raspberry, and lemon.

    Vitamin B1 deficiency

    Is that all? I take a multivitamin, b12, b1, c, Iron, d+k, d3, and calcium daily.

Congratulations! What a beautiful family. Welcome to this forum. It's a great source of support. I agree that going back to basics sounds like a good idea. You might want to also consider making an appointment with your NUT to talk about your goals. Also, here is a post I wrote about stalls that you might find helpful.
