Hi, banded Oct 12th 2007, lost 49 pds... I recieved 3.8 cc the first fill then a little the times after....08cc... anyway I am at 5.0 and really still dont feel restriction....much..I have had 4 fills now and the first few days is very tight then I feel as though in the evening its wide open..I would like to know what types of food patterns everyone is following... Thanks

I was banded Oct 12th....I have lost about 47pds...I have had 3 fills and am at 4.0 I get .05 cc's every time... I get amazed to see bandsters with 8.0 and 9 cc's in a 10cc band...wow

Hi I am about right on track with you.... I had no restriction hardly on the 2nd fill and lost only 4 pds..in Feb.... the first fill was really good and tight... good luck...keep up the good work..I have not found my sweet spot yet either...

No not even close to a sweet spot yet..I still eat quite a bit..lol... I only have 4.0 cc in an 11cc band... so I am not even half way full...going extremely slow on the fills..just like .5 each time... once a month..but it works very well for me... but I am happy with my slow progress...Good Luck...

Hi We definately have alot in common...I was a self pay at $17,500 too..but it was worth it...I was 287 myself...I am very happy with my decision and take it day by day... I am now down to 238....I have a ways to go but doing great..I was done on 12 Oct 2007...Good Luck

Dont be ashamed of what you have done..you will succeed... Good Luck...I think we have all felt that way...like we were not losing fast enough at some point...good luck and you will keep losing....

I quit smoking 2 months before being banded..Its hard but it was the motivation to have this surgery performed and I have been smoke free over 7 months as well...Conquered to demons at once..Good Luck....you can do it...I smoked over 16 years....

I was a self pay as well....same price...its worth it definately..I would do it all over again in a minute.....I feel so much better...already.... Good Luck to all of you..... It is a great life change...

I had mine done Oct 12th in Reston VA...but going very very well thanks...I am down about 47 pds...very happy with the results so far... do you have to do a liquid diet before hand..I did for 7 days prior then 2 weeks after... but it is worth it... Good Luck and write me anytime...

Dont worry hatmama.... it will take time...I wished I had of already lost more myself but after surgery I had constipation issues very severe then I had pains in my chest after that so I didnt even get my first fill until 2 weeks ago...but I learn something new every week...about the band... I do not snack at work at all now and if I do I have a half of an apple... night time is my worst..I loved to snack at night.... I think maybe after another fill you wont be able to snack like that...I ususally have a shake for breakfast/ensure... then lunch apple then another shake and a small dinner...I quit smoking as well so its been a double whammy for me.... You will find the right fill spot soon...Good Luck....

I am 4 months out and I just recently got my first fill..I am down about 38 pds...very happy..a slow process...but my only regret is not doing this a couple of years ago....

Just wanted to see who has the best menu for after the band...and to share that I am getting excited.:clap2:

My doctor was Robert Pinnar his father...It went well...It was my first and only surgery too..I am 36.. It was not near as bad as I imagined in my head..haha...I was sore for a few days and my biggest problem ended up being constipation....so drink lots of Water.... I do not go on this website either unless someone writes me... how fast did you recover...i had my band friday....still sore and trying to force liquids down...

wow..dr pinnar in reston va...i am slower than you..it was my very first surgery ever.. glad its over... i feel much better today... showered and semi getting back to normal but no driving at all..i am still taking pain killers...I am extremely sore in the belly...He has been a great doctor and his staff too...

I am glad the hardest part is over..I completed my banding on Friday Oct. 12th... I am still very sore but they give you lots of pain killers...I am hoping today I will be able to get a shake down...but doing ok and well on my journey now... :cool: Thanks for the support..I needed all I can get.:clap2: Vicki
