  1. One cup of cranberry juice has approx. the same amount of calories as one serving of wine, so sip! :-)
  2. Just because you can eat (tolerate) it doesn't mean you should. They gave me a food plan for a reason and I know the types of food that got me to the point of needing surgery, so, even if I can eat what I want, I am staying with what is good for me.
  3. They could also just include the protein and vitamins for "free" as long as the insurance company covers the scar cream. That is what they did for me until I found out the cost of the cream and stopped the service. At that point they told me the protein and vitamins weren't covered but they included them as long as I got the scar cream.

    2 week post

    What does your plan say?
  5. I think most on here are expert dieters, I, for one, has lost 100+ lbs several times, only to gain it all back, plus a little extra. WLS for me was the last option. I know I can lose the weight without it, but I also know I will gain it back.

    What I can eat?

I suggest you follow the plan provided by your surgeon's office, or check with them. Most plans are very different in what they allow.

    Not fun

If the new scale shows you 7lbs higher now, then it would have shown you at a higher weight when you started, so you really have lost the same amount.

    Pizza

My surgeon also told me no bread, pasta or rice for at least 6 months.
  9. I don't think I RSVP'd yet, but I will be there tomorrow.
  10. I suggest you check with your surgeon's office.
  11. I was only allowed liquids for the 1st week post-op. It was still hard to get 64 oz in a day.
  12. Check the protein sources. It sounds like it could be based on collagenic protein, which is derived from animal skin, bones and cartilage, and is generally not considered high quality protein.
  13. Hello! It sounds like the weather tomorrow will be pretty bad with possibility of snow so I will probably not make it. Still doing well two weeks post surgery, just trying to get all that protein! That is a little hard, but next week I can move on to mashed foods so that will make it easier.
