@@peek, I think 10 lbs is great in two weeks! I just told my husband when I go Friday for one week post op, I'll be happy if I have a 5lb weight loss. Keep up the good work.

6 days post op... no fun

@@shrinkingjill I am 4 days post op & stayed an extra day due to severe pain. I am walking, my stomach does feel like I'm carrying a brick-but it helps tremendously when I wear my stomach brace, provided by my hospital. That's not the technical name for it but I hope you get a visual. Drinking at times is a little uncomfortable. But honestly, I read many, many post prior to surgery where people mentioned it may take weeks or up to a month before I feel like myself again. So I am choosing to hold on to that & just endure the uncomfortable moments. So no, you are not alone. Wishing you better days ahead. I'm told it gets easier.

@@Vsglady only positive thoughts. No room for negativity. Helps with the healing, trust me... I know. You are on point when you mentioned the alternatives to NOT having the surgery. It will Definitely be the best decision you've made for your future. Just remember, initially you may not think that. But as the months progress, you'll know it & feel it. best wishes my friend!

@@The Candidate beautifully said and so poignant. I will definitely take time to reflect, my husband has been trying to stress the importance of meditating to help calm my mind. I've done it a few times but I think I am going to get more serious about it. Thanks again for those beautiful words of encouragement.

@@Vsglady good luck tomorrow sweetie! Stay positive & glad you found additional support. We all need it. One thing I did wrong was waited too late to ask for pain meds. If you feel the the pain coming on, like my nurse said...get ahead if it before it gets too bad. PRESS THAT NURSE BUTTON! Will pray for you, Unfortunately, I have no jokes but looks like you got a few good ones from our sleeve sisters, they made me lol too. I so love our group.

@@The Candidate thanks for asking. I'm doing pretty good. I am overwhelmed w/making sure I do everything as instructed by my doctor. I have to drink fluids, protein, walk, use my spirometer often. Just a lot to keep organized. Thankfully, they gave me a chart to help keep it on track. So far so good. I have to take two naps a day, I tire easily, which is expected. But overall I am tolerating my fluids well. I have had to take the pain meds. Once yesterday. I'm hoping I don't need any today but I've accepted the fact that if I do, it's ok. I was prescribed hydocodone, which is strong & I believe addictive. So I'm very concerned about staying on it for too long. May switch to Tyenol.

@@Peekboo funny how doctors are different. My discharge instructions were to take my pressure every day, if 130 or less, don't take my meds. If 131 or higher, take it. Thankfully I did not have to take it yesterday & today @@lovelytrl on the same note, like someone else mentioned, it could be your pressure. May want to discuss w/your doc. Curious to see if I get dizzy spells too.

Hey guys surgery was Friday, I was not one of the lucky ones w/an easy recovery. I had Lots of pain. I Stayed in the hospital two days because of my intense pain & my inability to walk more than twice. Pain is not as severe today, suprisingly I never had gas pain, just surgerical pain. But I do feel I still need pain meds. I prefer to use natural means so I've tried ice packs on my belly (helped some) ) but feeling like I need my pain med. 3 days since surgery, how long were you guys on pain meds?

Hello everyone! Welcome Cadidate! Well day two after my surgery. I won't lie, because I think it's important that we get an honest perspective of what everyone goes through. The first two days were rough. Worse Than My C-section. I was in so much pain. Today. My pain is more tolerable & I am being released at noon. I really needed two days in the Hospitsl. Believe it or not, despite my pain, I never once thought why did I do this. I am holding on to the big picture. First day my pain level is 5 or less. Another sleeve sister who had surgery the same day has had a remarkable recovery. Clearly everyone's body is different. I wasn't so lucky but hoping I will be w/my weight loss. Thank s everyone for your thoughts & prayers.
