Hi, I miss hearing from everyone. I called my insurance company yesterday for my daughter. I wasn't going to ask but I had to. They recieved my info on the 13th. Requested more info and got it on Monday. So now I really have butterflies in my stomach! I've had the attitude that I'm just going to sit back and wait it will all fall into place when it is suposed to. This is all in Gods hands and there is nothing I can do.....Well I know it's all in Gods plan, this whole WLS thing was his idea totally. I never had any intention of ever having surgery for WL. (Someday if any of you want to hear that story I'll be happy to tell you) So I know it will be approved, but I really want to know NOW!! Trying to be patient!

:banana I'm so excited I just can't hide it!! Well Bobbi called this DATE! September 19th. Do you realize that that is only 40 days away! And only 26 last suppers left! LOL I thought I'd be so scared that I would feel sick to my stomach. But instead I feel like walking dancing singing and JUMPING! I have to call Bobbi back tomorrow and tell her yes to that date for sure. I guess then she'll tell me everything else I need to know. Thanks for being there for me. I've been so out of it lately with not knowing when. sleep tight I know I will.

AHH, Thanks! I'm excited. God is really in total control of this whole thing. It is so funny how I've let him be incontrol instead of me in control, and everything has worked out perfect! Including the date!

New threads are always good. How many do you think there will be of us? That is cool that Angela is coming. Do they just have booths? I bet they have tables too. I think we should start a new thread now or real soon so that the newies see it and don't feel left out. I spoke with Bobbi this morning and confirmed everything. I did forget one thing and that was to write down the calories allowed for the 2 weeks prior! Do you remember? Is it only 800? -
Hi all, I am so frustrated! I still have not heard a date! I was hoping it would be August! Is this common that it takes this long to get your date?
-
Thanks Kim! I will give her a call. You have helped alot! I sent her an email today so I will give her a call tomorrow or Thursday. I can't wait for all of us to get together, it will be fun.

I figure I'll need to be locked away if it's PMS time..lol...But I know that I will be able to do it, I'm looking forward to hearing start your 2 weeks NOW!!!!

Thanks Kim, I am approved already from insurance company, all the pre op stuf is done. I know they are busy, but my life is basically on a stand still. At least if there was communication with me about what is going on I would feel better. Last Monday the 1st, they said I'd know by the end of the week. Yesterday I was in the same building and dropped in the office, the lady at the front desk told me that she has no idea when Bobbi will get to me. That just isn't a very caring or considerate answer. I feel very comfortable with Dr.V and am happy that he is doing the surgery for me. That is one piece of mind I have. Thanks for being there Kim,

think of a favorite beach and a favorite drink on the beach, ask them to give you that drink in your IV it will make it much more pleasant...hang in there i know its scary. But before you know it you'll be awake and walking! I talk from gaul blatter experience not the band yet!
-
Apple sauce with low fat whip cream and then sprinkle cinnamon on it! Its great!
-
You should talk to the Doctor directly about it. That seems totally unreasonable.
-
Looks nice. I never saw the old doo, but I like this one. and your 13 yr old is a cutie.

Oh Kim thank you so much that is exactly what I needed to hear! I have already stopped taking my celebrax and no more advil. I haven't started the execising much yet. Just crunches and trying to walk more when I go places. It's been a bit to hot to do the outside walk thing. gtg now there all yelling at me to come watch a movie with them...lol...Have a good night.

Welcome Star, How exciting to have another one! I still haven't heard anything from Dr.V's office, but I did email Bobbi this morning for the first time. Kim how long did it take them to give you your date after your ok? Also what all happens next? Melissa, how's the hair?
-
AHHH, Ok I'm nuts, I couldn't wait again, so I called the insurance company. And they said yes I've been appoved! Yippie! I hung up and cried for about the next hour. Missed up my makeup and everything! The girl told me that Bobbie knows. So for all you Dr. V people, How long did you have to wait to get your date? What happens next? Do I see Dr. V again, I hope, before the hospital? I really want to. I have scar tissue from my gaul blatter surgery 18 yrs ago! It is straight up and down my stomach, big ugly thing. He told the surgery would take longer because of that, and be more challenging for him, but he could do it. I didn't think to ask him if that means he'll have to do a complete open surgery. That really scares me, but I know I won't know the difference while I'm under, I just know the recovery would be tougher. Something was messed up with my login, so I don't know if Sunset9 will be back or not..lol Bye for now, Dianne.....AHHHHHHH

That is cool how yo can put those pic ont here. Not many of you though!!! I'm the same way, I like to be the photographer! What were you able to eat? Where was it that you went again? Looks like a real nice place.

Do you have a journal to write in. Thats always a good out let, when the little guy is sleeping or busy. How old is he. When my kids were real small we painted grass on on of the bedroom walls. They can't mess that up grass grows in all directions and many shades. You could always add bugs later. It will be a real cool fun thing to do together.

Wow, You all are awesome! I am preband and wonder between the 2. Sensey, you have helped me! Hang in there! Forget the scale, I know I say this now, and I guess we'll see what happens, but I plan on not looking at the numbers except for when I go to the dr. Remember, they are just #'s. The real issue is feeling better and not concentrating on what a scale has to say. Learning to make good life long choices. Numbers, if you let them can trigger your day, and thats not what it is all about. We all want those numbers to go down and it is exciting when they do, however focusing on the big long term picture is really what it's all about. I have thrown at least 4 scales out the window in the past 20 yrs. I will never buy one again. Hang in there, your doing great, and thanks for helping me. Be sure to remind me of this in a few months ok..lol..

That would be great to start meeting sooner than later! But this communication is also great, so whatever works best I'm not sure how long it will be before I have my band. Dr. V said that once we get the approval it takes about 3 months. The reason why I am so excited about Debbie is that in 97 she had her stomach stapled. She chose that because it was the safest way at the time. It was also the slower wieght lose. So she can relate alot with banders. How about we meet at 11:30 on the 27th. I dought they'd be open much earlier than that. Ok I'm off to write an article on how to host an elegant thanksgiving meal! -
I'll say a little prayer for all.
