Grace -
Conrats on the changes you've made!
Regarding your question about how others are handling their "peeps", I find that when I am with family or friends who know I'm banded that I feel the need to explain what I'm eating. I know they can see that I'm eating less and losing weight but I also feel like they are really concious of what I'm eating. I've decided to talk them through every step...letting them know my thought process regarding my meal choices.
Ultimately as they see that I am sucessful they will relax and trust that I'm doing what's best for me. Good luck and thanks for sharing.
I'm so sorry...I know all too well how suprisingly painful a broken toe can be!
Remember that we are on a journey and that this is a minor setback. You'll be good as new before you know it and back at the gym:thumbup:
I made a goat cheese souffle tonight and it was AWESOME!! I ended up having the equivalent of about 1 1/2 cups, but I was never stuffed and am still full 3 hrs later.:hurray:
Thanks guys. Sounds like I am not the only one survivng on very few calories. I did add some Cream of Rice yesterday and that seemed to really stick with me a little longer. Strange thing is that after abot 3/4 cup of that I was less uncomfortable than I am from just plain liquid. Such a learning curve !!
Good luck to you both! It will be over before you know it and you'll be on to the next level of torture...JUST KIDDING:biggrin:...think how fast a week goes by in your life and just know that you will so far down the road by then.
It's hard for me to believe a week has passed for me and I'm headed back to work tomorrow...no regrets here!
Will be thinking of you both!
Was just thinking that I'm supposed to go back to work on Monday and I bet I haven't even had 200 calories today. I'm guessing that once I'm trying to really think and work that this may be pretty tough.
How long did you/are you planning to be consuming so few calories?
It is so interesting to read the differences between doctors. Mine never mentioned any driving restriction. Now I'm wondering if I'll be ok for Monday. I feel like I could drive now if I had to, but wouldn't particularly enjoy it.
Hey guys...y'all are a day ahead of me and I'm hoping today was a better day for you. I still haven't had a BM so the doc is really pushing liquids. My pain is better but still feeling alot of tightness in the upper abdomen.
Let us here how you are!
Angie - I totally agree! I've been on the site even more since my surgery and it has been so therapuetic. We must keep the faith!
My new moto these days is from Finding Nemo - "just keep swimming, just keep swiming, just keep swimming"
Wow Stacey - i'm impressed you were in and out so fast and are doing so well. I'm one day ahead of you and last night was when the gas really started for me. I'm doing lots of walking and lots of fluids per the doctor this morning. Overall, today has been much better!
