  1. Hey everyone. I am five years postop from a gastric sleeve procedure. My starting weight was 310 pounds I got down to 170 and looked great in my eyes. I have gone the absolute wrong way! I have gained like half the weight back. I am it 235 lbs. I am so upset and I don’t know what to do. My stomach has definitely stretched and I feel like I can eat like I used to. I went back to see if I could get the procedure again and they said it’s not possible and actually dangerous. What can I do? I am so upset I felt so good about myself when I lost the weight. Now I am back to obese. Has anyone else experienced this and was able to lose? What did you do? Please help!

    So depressed I need help

The issue with 600-800 calories is that my stomach has stretched so much and I would literally feel like I’m starving. I have been eating waaaay to many carbs and drinking with meals etc. doing everything I’m not supposed to do. I don’t know how I could do that right now. I know what I’m supposed to do but I’m having such a hard time doing it. I know it sounds like I’m making excuses but I’m seriously at a low right now. I was looking so good and I feel like I’ve blown it all.
  3. I had the sleeve procedure in June 2014. I was 315 at my max weight. I was 274 the day of my procedure I got down to 175 at my lowest. And I felt like I looked so good and felt amazing about myself. I have been gaining weight over the last few years and I’m feeling so down. I currently weigh 208 I decided to meet my nutritionist today that I used to work with before and after the surgery. She’s putting me back on phase IV. Lean proteins and veggies. I got so bad eating carbs and drinking diet soda... the worst things to do. I am starting tomorrow she put me on this for 2 weeks and she told me to weigh myself tomorrow and then I’m 2 weeks. And not weight myself until The 2 week mark. I need some positive advice from anyone who can help me or anyone who has experienced this. I’m s sad that I let myself go... I feel so depressed my clothes are getting tight and some of my stuff doesn’t even fit anymore. I got to a size 10 and some 8’s now I’m back in a size 12. I hope that I can post some good results on my two week mark I really want to get back down to where I was and even lower but if I can at least get back to where I was at 175 I will be so happy and proud of myself.
  4. Hello everyone. My story, I started off at 310 lbs and I was sleeved in 2014. I got down to 175 lbs where I looked awesome over the years I’ve gained some weight back I am now at 210 again [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]. I’m getting back on track and I am now today doing one day of clear liquid to give me a little jumpstart. And tomorrow going back to phase 4 and doing 60-80 grams of protein and veggies. I am so sad because I looked so great I felt good people were floored at my transformation. And I am feeling down. But I decided to get back on track if I could do that 2 week liquid diet at 310lbs I can do anything! I’m gonna post before and after pics so u guys can see. Any advice or words of wisdom?????

  6. Hey everyone I had the sleeve done in June of 2014 I weighed 315 and lost a bunch of weight got down to 180. Recently I noticed my appetite is back in full effect! I got on the scale today and saw I weight 194 I literally started to cry! I have done so well and tried so hard to get to the weight I was at even though 180 is still a bit big I was happy and comfortable at that weight. Now I feel like I've failed and I can eat so much more now it depresses me that I was doing so good and now I went in the wrong direction. I know the logical thing to do is to follow the diet again back to Protein and shakes but it's so hard for me. Has anyone else experienced the same kind of Thing and what have you done and were you able to take the weight back off? Please take a moment to respond and please give me ideas in so depressed. I'm gonna post a before and after pic the biggest weight was 315 lowest was 180 Sent from my iPhone using BariatricPal

    Depressed please help!

Everyone thank You for all the advice and the compliments. I have started incorporating Protein shakes and bars back into my diet. How do I find out about the five day pouch test I would like to try that and I also am cutting out all of the bad things I was eating my appetite has gotten a lot bigger which is scary. I also have obtained a sweet tooth which came out of nowhere. I appreciate all of that encouragement and I will try to go back to the way things used to be I will post updates thank you all so much. 8. So I had the gastric sleeve 6/23/14 and I have lost 140 pounds. Been doing great until now I am able to eat a lot more and basically bite after bite. Ok afraid I have stretched my stomach. Am I doomed!?! Has this happened to anyone and if so what did u do to fix it. I have gained about 6 pounds and since the surgery I haven't gained anything at all until now. I can definitely see it in my belly. Please help me get back on track

    My weight loss success!

Yes Unfortunately I do have loose skin. I have lost so much so fast that it made my arms belly and thighs s little "flabby". I'm looking into some cosmetic surgeries in te future when I hit my goal. Also for the puréed stage I remember it being very difficult and uncomfortable for me for just a little over a month. Your almost over That hump once you get past yor montj everything will slowly get easier. The pain will go away and things will be much easier to swallow and digest. Thanks again for the encouraging words!!! Please leave Your success stories or anytning. I love to read aboit everyone's adventure.

    My weight loss success!

I basically only eat protein. Some carbs here and there but working out is super important. Make sure To eat 70 grams of protein and stay focused. It's hard to eat a lot still But the protein shakes are good and easy to get down. Remember you WILL hit stalls. You will Go a while without losing any weight. Which is totally normal, just stay focused eat your protein super important. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 10 I do think in some aspects but I have lost a lot more than most normal people do in the beginning which I'm not complaining LOL but don't be discouraged if you don't lose as fast. I am 187 pounds right now and I have been at this wait for the last 3 to 4 weeks I've been down a pound or two here and there. My email address is EMH517@aol.com if anyone have any questions concerns comments or anything I am totally willing to share my experiences or give any advice that I possibly could. Good luck to all of you who have either done or are doing it in the future.
